Sam Fender just self confirmed for John Peel on radio 2

Where do we think he'll be?

Can see him being booked ages ago when not big so probably about 2pm which means, being a teacher, I will miss the one act I really want to see.

Fucksake.

He said last night he was playing the John Peel stage ... hopefully Saturday or Sunday for you and then you won't miss him, he didn't say a day I'm afraid - sorry - just said he had never even been to Glastonbury as a punter so was looking forward to it

Can you ask very nicely to swap your PPA to Friday afternoon and leave at lunch? That's what I'm going to be doing after Easter. Guess that'll only help you if you live fairly nearby though if you're thinking you might need to be there for 2.

But he's down for Friday according to efests. So assuming he's said Friday before. Bollocks.

Glad to see you're back there Adam :) will you be doing a few sets like last time?

Should be! Have yet to confirm days/times but I should do something in the evening on Thursday, and then something during the weekend.

    • Tell me more. Last Latitude we went to was '21 - my son was young & had a wagon so we snuck good beers in that way. I remember there being some Brooklyn IPA on sale which was tolerable - are you saying they don't sell anything other than Carlsberg now?! 😳
    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
