Yeah it does. The only day they could do is the Friday and we are almost certain Artic Monkeys are playing the Friday and there is the logistics of playing two consecutive shows in different countries

Other is way too big for them surely. I saw them last month and it was phenomenal but I don't really think they need to be headlining anything bigger than JP/Park or even West Holts if you want a weirder headliner for there. Hope this new tour is finally with a new album though.

They do have a new album for 2023 as far as I know, they've played as you MAY remember from the live shows 2/1 (depending on where you went? I went to their Reykjavik show myself :)), and have in an article in The Reykjavik Grapevine and other sources said about it, so would DEFINATELY be shocked if they didn't. For Glastonbury too, I personally would LOVE to see them do Legends slot but obviously may be too niche, so if anything, just like they did in 2016, MAY return for another Other Stage headline set is what I'm hoping?! ALSO feel that alt-J may do that stage to headline too 🙂

check out Electric Picnic ICYMI

Aye I saw. It's a pretty poor lineup for me. Tom Odell is going to get a decent slot purely due to his song a while ago that has got huge again. Way bigger than when he did it but it was easily one of the songs the summer. Not going to lie I'd be very happy to be in that crowd.

I imagine going by electric that he's topping second stage. I don't think it totally means it will be straight equal from Ireland to England but he's going to top a stage whether it's Other or WHs.

Didn't even realise Tom Odell had blown up again - the lineup got rinsed on instagram comments for being too 'tiktok'

Going off the clashfinder for this year the second headliner is a main stage sub

IOW isn't really a standalone was my thoughts on it - he's headlining it but its a 3 day festival mainly, even if there are a few day tickets available

This other gig is the standalone one and IOW is festival exclusive

Elton is Sunday and AM is Friday. If theyre in Denmark the day they would headline, seems theyre out.

Another US fest lineup, but I think this is the first confirmation that Pavement will be playing more shows after the Aus/NZ leg of their tour ends? Which is exciting!

Is this the first Yeah Yeah Yeahs confirmation for next year as well?

Wednesday are one of my favourite new bands, would love to see them in the UK at some point.

Back in 2007, I recall the Chili Peppers being slagged off for using a large entourage of flights to get from Wembley to Roskilde to do both Live Earth and their own festival slot in Denmark on the same day.

But then 15 years older, and pursuing a tour plan with more space built into the schedule, so I'm not exactly expecting them to do something so mad this time. That and, as said, its widely assumed AM have that day anyway.

Hey - hoping someone here might be able to help.

I’m going to Fred again tonight. how strict is the o2 academy Brixton bag policy? They messaged saying only one bag that is smaller than a4, but I’m at work today and have a small rucksack, but bigger than A4. Will they actually turn me away? I can’t make any alt arrangements..

I have found they have one of the most thorough/present security arrangements of London venues tbh. and they post a fair bit about the bag policy which to me suggests they enforce it at shows, but i’ve never entered with bags so can’t speak from experience. they do have cloakrooms though (free on O2 Priority, I think) so if you can make a passionate plea to head straight to the cloakroom, that might work. hope it works out for you!

50/50: turn people away from some gigs, other gigs they arent bothered.

Its such a SHIT policy, especially when they have cloakrooms.

There is a sweetshop a little further down the road offering a paid storage space. ( tenner i think?) if worse comes to worse

Very strict in my experience - and when I was there for Hot Chip this year they were using a kebab shop round the corner as an overflow cloakroom!!

    • A name I didn’t think of. Maybe too big though. Think he’d go down very well despite being quite controversial.
    • Oh bummer, got excited then 😂   Although if I had read all the way down it would have been a bit of a give away, no other festival will book both of those 😂
    • I think the age of tickets flying out day one for a lot of artists is drawing to a close now, especially with the prices.   There will be exceptions of course, I was surprised how quickly Phoebe Bridgers sold out
    • Tbf they sold out the mainland European shows that follow this UK tour more or less immediately so I guess much of Europe will be stadiums for them next summer regardless and they might want to bring any stadium bespoke production here, even if it's just one night at a London stadium or whatever.    I like the new album and wanted to see them again but £150 for a standing ticket is ridiculous and all the sub-£100 price categories sold out. So you know, would like to go but guess I'm waiting for any last minute dropouts. Tbf I would hazard a guess of these 4 UK shows in November that more tickets are sold than unsold and by the time of the show it'll be, if not a full house, close enough.
    • I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility    It would feel like a bit of waste for their first set in the UK for 12 years be an hour and 10 mins as a sub    A lot of people will buy day tickets just for FNM
