I don't think they would get a JP headline spot now but yes I'd like to see them. JP book quite big top spots now so second down

The Cribs do have a tour on sale.

Surely around for Glastonbury

Yep considering Halifax for September, but I have Brudenell social club album launch tickets so waiting to see when that's planned for - if that ends up being September then planning Manchester in March. Will definitely be watching them at least twice as its been so long 😂

Low have announced dates in London and Brighton for March 2022. Both taking place in churches.

Love the sound of this. You got a link?

Do you subscribe to the theory that because Portsmouth is on an island it’s not technically the UK?

I agree though- very esoteric choice of venues.

Well I never. Didn't realise that's technically the case.

Ah that makes way more sense.

Shame really, I’d like to see The Hives, but not so much that I’d buy a ticket to The Offspring.

I'm not a big fan of The Offspring but I loved Smash so I did get tixs myself.

The day before they announced it I was moaning about not seeing a band in over a year and told a story about some antics my mate got up to when we saw them as teenagers and my missus asked me out of nowhere who was that band (which was The Hives) we saw supporting Queens Of The Stone Age at Finsbury Park as she really liked them so I figured it must be fate or something and I had to go. lol

Manchester show should have been last Friday, went through all their albums in the day in honour.

Really tempted by the Halifax show, what's the deal with it is it hard to get back to the northwest after it? Any experiences?

It doesn't look possible to me - would need to stay over I think!

Just bought tickets for Foo Fighters in Basel on 14th June next year. Seems they are in Europe right up until Glastonbury.

I really enjoyed them in 2017 and quite happy to either have the option to see them twice, or feel free to check out another stage of they do play.

I’d be absolutely gobsmacked if they were back in any official capacity. You can never rule out Sprinty Dave popping up somewhere but there’s no chance they’re playing a billed slot next year.

Personally having seen them a few times, I thought they didn't take advantage of their set nearly as much as they could. Best of You as good as it is just went on for days for eg. They could have fitted 22 songs into 18 for that set length. I'd be inclined to say I actually enjoy Leeds the following hear more.

    • sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.
    • Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.
    • I think it will very much vary on who there is to book who they know will sell out a day.    They’ve co-headline and full headline stuff in future, there no reason at all they won’t do it again, even if it means cutting someone’s set by 15 mins or having a band less in a big bands day…   They’re not going to not book Foo fighters and instead get the equivalent of Florence and C&S just to not have a band do a big set…   …unless of course they think it will make them more money…
    • Maybe some right wing leaders like Meloni are just playing to their base, like Reform have been here talking about them ending up at Calais.
    • Citizenship via investment programs basically work by saying if you invest this much in our economy (say buy a property worth x) then we will either grant you citizenship or residency with a route to it. The EU has rules on how low countries can set the bar. Montenegro was one of the easier ones to get and they've had to tighten it up.
