David Blaine to play Pyramid Saturday afternoon, in the "Bo Selecta ruined my career in the early 00s but now I'm back" slot. Gargantuan crowd guaranteed.

Does David Blaine fuck rabbits too? :P

Possibly. Wouldn't even be in the top 10 strangest things about him if he did

Christ, I can only imagine the promoter (AEG?) must have had the equivalent to late-night drunk shopping on aAmazon when sorting this lineup

I remain hopeful that Texas will come back to the farm to make up for bailing previously.

The rest can get to fuck.

I can just imagine Johnny Feeder (I don't know his real name) relaying the news to the rest of the lads:

JF: Lads I've got us on the bill at Hyde Park!

Rest of Feeder: Ah Brilliant! Supporting Young & Dylan I assume?

JF: Erm, no.

ROF: Ah, so we're on with Florence and The National then?

JF: Not quite...

ROF: Well then who? Surely we're not warming the crowd for Dion or Streisand?

JF: Brace yourselves... I have got us... Robbie WIlliams!

ROF: We're supporting Robbie Williams?

JF: Well, sort of. Black Eyed Peas, Texas and Keane are all above us on the bill. But still....

ROF: Fuck off.

Feeder have some bangers and would go really well as a daytime spot on a decent stage, they have some shite as well though so as long as they balanced that then It would be well received i think.

Just bagged a ticket to see Yungblud in Brighton on Sunday off the back of his live set on Jack Saunders on Thurs night. Sounds bloody amazing.

Great atmosphere at Yungblud gigs.

Aye, Brighton last night was mental. Went up a notch when Halsey made a guest appearance.

Oh wow. I love Halsey. Her on the Badlands tour is still one of the best gigs I've ever been to. Another of those wild crowd gigs. She had to stop the show at one point to get a few girls to safety.

    • What is too old for Leeds Fest now ?  I'm going to the Fontaines Saturday in a few weeks at 54 !!!  I may be the oldest there 🙂    Wythenshawe may be an option for WA.
    • Pretty much all festivals lose out on major artists because of production limitations though. Glastonbury is no different to most other festivals.  Lots of acts can/will adapt their tour production to suit festival stages if they want to play them, but some acts with stage designs and routines just don't want to adapt, and would rather just stick with a rigid, well-rehearsed production and take the money for their own gigs, whether that's a lot more than playing Glastonbury, or slightly less than playing some other festivals (but with added complications). Trying to adapt the stage, layout, access to b-stages etc to accommodate a single headliner on a Friday and then having to change it all around for a Saturday headliner isn't really a goer when most headliners can just easily adapt their show to stay on a main stage, if they're so inclined. They have a year to figure out how to perform a song on a main stage and ditch a few dance routines out on a b-stage if they really put their mind to it. It's not that difficult......
    • I would be all over Wolf Alice but may have outgrown this venue.    Also have to consider the schedule they have been on this year so may be on a break.  This last 10 days alone they did Tramlines, New York, Chicago and Kendal Calling.  Although make hay while the sun shines may come into play.
