Didn't she say she's had to deny it? Daft Punk dream is alive Punks! :D

its definitely not. i don't know why anyone would think they would do anything unless it was a world tour.

I think they have one more tour left in them

They have only really ever played live as part of a world tour haven't they. Why would this change. they are not active. its as dead in the water as humanly possible.

Let's be honest, I'd go watch Brian Blessed read my tax return.  You could have him just reading the lineup for the rest of the weekend as a set and I'd sit there and listen.

They should just throw him random bars each day so we can all go have a pint with him!

Oh what a Blessed day it would be!

Just mentally play through him saying these three band names at full volume.  It's glorious, even inside my own head.

METRONOMY!

JUSTICE!

FOO FIGHTERS!

out of all these the only one with any real traction for me is Gaga

Mac and Phil Collins a very, very, very outside shot but the money or lack of it will keep them away pretty easily

Gibb is the legend but perhaps they havent announced him as it just in case something happens at the 11th hour but it feels unlikely.

I vaguely remember being in the same pub as him once. Sadly before I was of drinking age and didn't really know who he was.

Would love to have a nice ale with him.

Please be true!!!!! Then Alt-J wont clash with the Foos :)

Yes they will because of Foo's set length, but it would stop The National being lost in daylight for some people and if there is a huge act still to come. I'm not going to suggest who but the only thing against Gaga is it looks likely she would follow Katy Perry and that's two female strong acts one after another. Alt-J are doing gigs this year that size wise doesn't put then bigger than an Other sub slot and it feels as if they have dropped off, whereas The National would fit it, would be worth it for them to finally do it and split the crowd comfortable.

A small theory is that RB play 4th Friday, Perry in 3rd which allows there to be only one big female act on Friday and Saturday. I'm not giving much weight to that though.

Id take that over a full clash! Could watch Alt-J and still catch a good chunk of Foos. Apparently from inside info though Alt-J are 99.9% headlining the Other.

    • I see, well even if they aren't on sale it's still not a disaster sales wise, it's not like they are struggling to sell a half capacity areana
    • Blue dot wouldn’t be a thing if Ticketmasters dynamic pricing went down as well as up, it proves that the dynamic pricing was just a scam to make more money rather than something that moved with the market supply/demand.
    • I agree that we’ll never really know up until the concert happens (and even then we still may not know) but I think promoters are having to come up with new tactics to combat ‘blue dot fever’ (already hating that phrase!) and trying to imply that concerts are selling better than they actually are / available tickets are in short supply is definitely one of them.    To add though, it is quite common at the O2 Arena for the rear blocks to not go on sale (and then remain closed for the concert and covered over to hide the empty seats). And equally common for standing to sell out first, then side/lower tier seating next and rear/upper tier seating last.    Jungle’s two concerts at the O2 are a good comparison for this - for their 1st (announced) date, all blocks are on sale and seats in all sections remain unsold, whereas for their 2nd date, the rear blocks are greyed out (more so than for Muse) and equally lots of seats remain unsold in the blue blocks. Standing for both concerts are showing as sold out.
    • MGK can and should headline. I was at one of his shows earlier in the year as a very casual fan, and there were a lot of alt people there. The show was actually class and he completely won me over. Anyone who opposes him headlining is just a gatekeeper imo, we need to move with the times.
    • Ultimately Glasto is just part of the festival circuit, however special we may think it is. The vast majority of its headliners have done many others
