"Really big secret"

Is Barbara Streisand worth a shout as a special guest with Barry Gibb?  The Bee Gees did write a few of her greatest hits and she is definitely a legend as well?  Just a thought

Don't wanna ruin everyone's fun but the most obvious thing is Gaga. She was over in the U.K. about 6 months ago when she played Moth Club and there was the rumour after she said she couldn't talk about Glastonbury. Nothing has disproven  the idea of her playing, it just got forgotten about over time when she didn't get announced.

Alt J to play an extended slot on the Saturday on Other before BBK close the stage. Katy Perry to sub Foos. Green Day to then go up against Sheeran, with Alt J against K-Pez and BBK against Foos, which makes a hell of a lot more sense than Alt J v Foos and BBK v Ed. Means not having grime closing two of the main stages on the Sunday (Kano on Park), and ties in with Neil's previous 'hip hop Saturday' info, as you could stick RTJ underneath Alt-J, with Wiley and others also appearing on Other.

That would mean BBK playing a 2.5 hours set. Also The National are subbing Foos. Park will close early on Sunday so people will actually be able to see Kano followed by BBK. After Emily confirming BBK headlining Other, Neil got some new info that the hip-hop Other Stage thing was actually happening on Sunday (and all it was was that BBK and Wiley are both playing that day).

Problem is, where could she fit? The upper reaches of the lineup are beyond stacked this year.

Ive been suggesting this to @The Nal for months.

Certainly Running Daves carousel of musical mates means there could be all sorts turning up yeah.

Plant has an album and tour planned though apparently. Can't see him ditching that.

Violence against women, LOL . Don't want to derail the thread but get a grip man, there's absolutely no need for that shit on here.

Oh come on! It was a joke! When you get off that high horse, I will teach what being facetious is.

Do we know when the interview was done? She could be referring to the Earache stage. Mind you, it's debatable if something that's a niche interest is 'really big news'.

She mentions the skin just being put on the pyramid and the stage being built so a week or so ago I'd guess.

But she also said that it's a secret which has not yet got out. Gaga has been rumoured everywhere.

Has kasabian been mentioned in this thread yet. I'm not reading the whole thing.

Let it be known I am throwing their ring into the hat ;)

Let it be known that I'm setting that hat on fire & then adamantly refusing to piss on it

Not really. Google 'Gaga Glastonbury' and there's nothing really since that interview. The only recent links just refer back to that interview. It's been dead since then.

And unlike the Daft Punk and Stone Roses rumours, Emily has never addressed the Gaga rumour.

    • Can't speak for Dua Lipa's, but Coldplay's was vastly scaled down compared to their stadium production staging though, and tracks were adapted to reflect that. MOTS tour had a full walkway 30m out to the B-Stage in the middle of the crowd, and two C-Stages. Glastonbury didn't accommodate that at all and just had a very small walkway in front of the Pyramid stage, and (IIRC) a disconnected B-Stage.   Which re-enforces my point. Acts can adapt their stage shows if they really want. Most do, some don't want to. Glastonbury might miss out on the odd act that doesn't want to slightly adapt, but so will most festivals.
    • Oh wow, was sure they’d be playing this or trees.
    • A name I didn’t think of. Maybe too big though. Think he’d go down very well despite being quite controversial.
    • Oh bummer, got excited then 😂   Although if I had read all the way down it would have been a bit of a give away, no other festival will book both of those 😂
