The greatest TV show in the entire history of the medium.

Thought that was Game of Thrones? Or the Wire? Or Breaking Bad?

As for the secret, we all know its going to be Coldplay.

Last year the act they kept up their sleeves was Tame Impala.

yup, I was wondering if this 'secret' act might be in that same slot.

BUT ... part of why that was a secret last year is because it was a late booking.

Emily has not named them as the Sunday headliners for Other, just headliners

however, i've had what I believe is excellent info for the Other headliners, with BBK on Sunday.

Emily has not named them as the Sunday headliners for Other, just headliners, presumptions have just been made that it is the only slot that they can play due to the poster order. I still just think its bizarre to have them against sheeran when there is such a large crossover of fans.

Alt J to play an extended slot on the Saturday on Other before BBK close the stage. Katy Perry to sub Foos. Green Day to then go up against Sheeran, with Alt J against K-Pez and BBK against Foos, which makes a hell of a lot more sense than Alt J v Foos and BBK v Ed. Means not having grime closing two of the main stages on the Sunday (Kano on Park), and ties in with Neil's previous 'hip hop Saturday' info, as you could stick RTJ underneath Alt-J, with Wiley and others also appearing on Other.

They can't do it without applying for special permission. Which they haven't done. And may not get if they did apply. Same applies to any of the other 10ish biggest stages.

Is there any reason we'd know about the application? Like does it have to be made public ?

Drake and skepta coming out with BBK on Sunday. on the record label.

Skepta is a part of BBK anyway.

Drake has been listed as a possibility. Could happen I guess.

Seriously though, it's fantastic. Gets better as it goes on, which can't be said for a lot of shows. Plus, it can never come back and ruin the legacy!

Even if you don't know the backstory or context, this is still the best ending to an episode I've ever seen. Still gives me the chills...and it was the first time I'd heard John Cooper Clarke!

    • My wife works for a music company, they have an allocation already.  They run a ballot for it early next year.
    • This is my guess too.    2028 festival breaks the £400 barrier.
    • Yeah I did spot that AXS had more available for the O2 shows Muse are doing, though I think that comes with the territory of AXS now being the venue's primary ticket selling platform.    My instinct remains they'll probably still play to a big crowd on the night - sales were similarly slow in 2023 but videos of those gigs showed the venue looking pretty much full. Equally it probably would be sold out if the pricing was even just slightly less ridiculous. Shave up to £50 off some of these categories and I think that would've got people to go with it.
    • Some are definitely already there with that and with another round of inflation looking like it's on the way, it certainly locks that in. And I say that as someone who also isn't willing to break the £100 marker.
