I travelled into Kingston at lunchtime - I had another vague reason to go, but really it was all about popping into Oxfam - bought 2 of the last 3 bars they had - no luck. Also went to the Tesco, but they had no cider. Then on my way home from work a visit to two(!) local co-ops - both out of my way - for some beer and cheese. It’s not normal behaviour is it?

Sorry, one other thing I will add - the bbc coverage is so good. The ability to instantly flick between the main stages is superb - one evening I think I saw more music sat with a few beers and a remote control than I’d ever done in a similar timeframe at the festival. I appreciate it’s not even close to being there & in the crowd, but I loved being able to watch bits and pieces of so many different sets.

Wonderfully said 👌 I’ve missed out a few times in recent years, and by the time the actual wkend comes round I find myself drawn to the coverage and wanting to partake, even if it means from my sofa watching the tv. There was a great thread and group of people here chatting throughout the wkend when I last missed out a couple of years ago. Ps - I didn’t open this thread earlier today thinking it was about Embrace. Glad I understood the title correctly this evening!

After defeat in the resales, yesterday I avoided anything glasto related, but having slept on it I think I’m going to keep trying in the competitions whilst there are so many around. Not least as I’ve bought so much bloody cider/chocolate/cheese/beer over the last few weeks I may as well see how they pan out! It’s getting to the point that I feel I’ve got as much chance with competitors as I do with sales (very slim!) so let’s keep trying all opportunities to get there. Blind optimism is fine with me!! 🤪

Finally found a store with it being advertised - Claygate for anyone in that area. Signage was so small I almost missed it. At least I have one entry! Will be back there once a week before the deadline 🤞

I don’t believe there is a code for the Brooklyn cans - you just need to scan your membership card when purchasing and then keep hold of the receipt. I’ve now been in 4 co-op stores and yet to see promotions for the competition anywhere, including on the self-checkout screens. I’ve one final store to try tonight near my office which is the largest of those near me so I’ll buy a pack regardless & hope for the best!

I’ve tried them all & that was the worst for my tastes - berry/lime is my favourite of the fruity ones I must have done around 25 cans now during March, won absolutely nothing! Will keep trying!

I’m going to one of the in store gigs/signings so will see if I can ask him! Would be perfect for the Park - think he’s played there before

I just checked the presale again for London and there are tickets for all areas still on sale. Got 2 for standing. Pricey but should be an awesome gig

I was convinced Ty Segall would be there due to the London date of his tour - didnt realise he already has other dates every day of the fesitval - including Bristol on the sunday. Perhaps an early slot that day on Park/Woodsies?

Ah, I was quite near the front so wasn't sure who it was directed at. I agree it was a bit aggressive, but it did have an effect as I barely saw a phone for the rest of the gig.

It was a great night, thanks! I’ve been going to BC gigs for 5-6 years now, when he was playing tiny rooms, so to see him on that stage last night was pretty awesome. The solo he did at the end, which I hadn’t heard live before, was worth the entry fee alone
