The 1975 have just sold out the O2 in under a minute by the way...

Glastonbury will probably get them next time around. Think they're a dead cert for Reading/Leeds at this point. Baffling to me that people still don't think they could headline, but I suppose until a band headlines a festival a lot of people aren't going to see them as festival headliners.

The lady in the red jacket wouldn't look out of place in somewhere like Shoreditch or Brixton today. Hope she kept it as she could make a fortune selling it today

I worry for the safety for the rest of them in anything but a light shower in all that denim!

That new Mumfords tune is an embarrassment to all involved. Mortified for them and their poor families and friends, the producers, the distribution companies, the delivery men, the people who work in the record shops, the people at the streaming companies and most of all their fans.

YES!! I finally have a use for my beige wool cardigan!

Don't be foolish now, old boy. You'll look a prize berk if you're the only person there not wearing chinos, a polo shirt and your rowing blazer.

They’ve headlined latitude and parklife (maybe more?)

cos The Cure have now announced a number of festival dates each side of Glasto I've now got greater belief in what I was told about them headlining, and have upped them to 'strong rumour' on the 2019 line-up and rumours page.

Interesting.. assuming Macca/The Cure are both correct, who would be your guess for the third slot at this point?

Does your strong rumour place them as Pyramid headliners or elsewhere?

Really not a fan of 1975 but surely there is no debate to be had about if there big enough to headline. They’re absolutely huge and probably going to get bigger when the new albums drop.

I had no idea how big they were until I listened to Annie Mac's show back in June and she described them as "one of the biggest band in the world!" ... completely passed me by

I've started going back to give them another listen, and while I'm not fully buying into the hype I may have been unfairly dismissive at the first pass.

Stormzy, if they're really got all three headliners sorted already.

Can't see them playing anywhere else.

I didn't even realise there was a hype! Must have been living under a rock.

I just thought they were a tweeny boy band, maybe I should give them a listen too

I think more a chance that they fancy 2020. Irrespective of whether you like them or not, they are huge and will headline Glastonbury next year or 2020.

    • yet in Brazil they spent the money to give her the staging so her show could be done just like in the arena. And Madonna does not compromise on that sort of thing. So money was def secondary if they got into the last phase of finalizing the booking and it fell apart when it came to production. Which is t that far fetched with her anyway.   When she did the Super Bowl, just a couple days beforehand she had the idea of wanting to rappel down from the top of the stadium to start the performance and they had to tell her there was no way it could be pulled off cause nobody makes a change like that so last minute.
    • :  Laughs in American again :    its $200 usd here for standing. Not even counting the $500 premium seats they sold yesterday.  Upper levels are $100 usd for the cheapest on average.
    • It's funny that Burnham says all this stupid corbynite or blue labour or blairite or whatever sh*t but still everyone wants him because he's a proper northern lad who wears t-shirts and there's no way can have Streeting because he's apparently a massive transphobic zionist in the payroll of private health companies and palantir even if he is maybe actually offering what many liberal lefties would prefer but he can't be trusted, I mean..look at him.
    • Burnham has hinted he supports compensation for waspi women...err...so that's nice.....
    • Chelsea, 10 years of cheating, dodgy agent payments, breaking financial rules, etc: £10m deferred fine, no points reduction   Everton, 1 year of narrowly breaking financial rules: £40m payment, due immediately, having already been docked 10 points (reduced on appeal).
