festi wrist bands

how many people still wear there bands ...or are you one that bins theres or just collects them putting them somewhere safe ?? i thought about this cos i have just had my 2004 band fall off my wrist so now it goes up with the rest on my piece of glasto wood ..

I'm a cut them off and bin them as soon as I get home.

Luckily I have a good ol' fashioned vice in the shed, so when I get home I'll usually prize open the metal bit with a screwdriver, loosen it enough that it can easily come off/be put back on again then finally re-tighten the metal bit with the vice.

Slide them off my hand and attach them to the lanyard from the same festival and hang them on a hook in the spare room!

Used to keep them on but now I've got to be sensible and get them off because of work. Have them in a nice keepsake box though. One day I'll think of something creative to do with them!

I have a small wrist:hand ratio so I can slip them off fairly easily. They're in a box now, but when I had a bed with posts I hung them over one of them like some kind of festival slut.

I lost my 2005 one though which bothers me quite a lot.

I've always been telling myself that one day I want to frame them and put them up on the wall.

I was going to post I'd read an article that the wrist bands are full of germs and bacteria.  To be honest it doesn't take a scientist to work that out considering the sweat, mud and general shit your wrist band encounters during 5/6 days of the festival.

they get cut off at the first opportunity.  they annoy me all weekend so no way i'm keeping them on any longer than i need to!

I cut mine off when I get home.  I like to leave it on during the trip back, as I don't feel like I've really left until I have that first shower and get in my own bed.

I've got weirdly flexible knuckles so mine tend to slide off OK when I come home.  They then get looped onto my camping rucksack strap as I only ever use it for festivals!

Yep, got all mine in a big size 12 shoe box with a load of other ticket stubs and festival programmes. Need another box.. Or might upgrade to a scrap book type thing..

Cut straight off, then put in a box with a lanyard and program too. Always great looking back at past line ups. Some, in hindsight, are truly shocking.

Manage to have kept all 12 bar 1 intact, only to be worn each year at the festival. have them hanging on a hook most of the year.

Had a festival band of some sort on everyday since 05 and never had anything from them.

I'm another that cuts them off as soon as I get home but hold onto them for prosperity. I should probably get a shoe box or something but they just turn up in draws and other such places where these things gather.

I normally pull mine off, (madam), but enjoyed myself so much this year that I've kept it on as a memento of happy times.

I usually have a collection from the summer still on my wrist & take them all off after the last festy I go to of the season. Yeah they can get a bit grubby but they do also get a good soak in the bath / shower several times a week too
