Very sad, but I’m not sure I can stretch benefit of the doubt enough to doubt Louie’s statement. The main bits, the kicking out the band and bringing back as a session musician and being excluded from royalties, merch sales and the BMG sale would be piss easy to disprove if wrong and Louie would be on a hiding to nothing. The bit about Martin messing up at the Glasgow gig and the reviews being generally positive is such a weird one. I’ve only seen them four times so you’d have to see them a hell of a lot more than I have to notice if there were any real substance to Martin messing up. No idea how many people if any have walked out of a Primal Scream gig and thought wow Martin was f**ked. It’s very suspect. Had a look at their Twitter yesterday and they’re getting a slating. It sickened me to re-read their statement about Martin in December and only last week declaring their support for the RMT union cos the sort of shafting they gave Martin would make a Tory proud.

I’d expect travelling in from the west to be a big advantage seeing as most people will be coming from the north and the east. Or in our case, both. We’re going down on the Tuesday hoping to avoid the carnage on the roads. If it were me driving I’d be tempted to bypass by a few miles and come back on meself from west or south if the site, but maybe thousands from the north or east might have that idea too..

I’ve never smoked or vaped but my wife does and when she switched from vaping to smoking initially she was 100% on a refillable. Over the past about a year it’s probably swung 90% towards the disposables which while I’m not over the moon with, I’d rather that than cigarettes and I’m not gonna tell her what to do. She, and I’d expect just about everyone who uses disposable vapes will be aware of the single use plastic and the cost effectiveness of it. I think they have their place as a back up, but if you’re using them at home I don’t get it.

The one time I’ve had a spot saved was when two of the group drove down together with our tents and the rest of us went by train. Short of that it’s a risk and a bit of a piss take to try to get a space saved that anyone’d be entitled to take.

Heh last time I saw an England game there was 2004 on what was the cinema at the time.. 2010 thought oh we’re setting off 12 hours before kick off, will be able to watch the game on the farm.. totally missed it. Ok so there’s still the chance this is a very elaborate prank and it’s Pulp.

Mad, isn’t it? I want it to be Pulp, but I’m not gonna state it as fact that it is cos this is something I really don’t want to be wrong about! There’s enough supporting anecdotes either way for Foo Fighters and Pulp and the reports of Foos having a hotel booked in Bristol. If they end up in one of the Woodsies or Park TBAs they wouldn’t be the first stadium band to do either. Yes, this is their comeback after losing Taylor Hawkins but they’ve never really gone away, unlike Pulp who’ve also lost a member in Steve Mackey. Out of Jarvis and Dave I’d say Jarvis has more of an affinity with Glastonbury, and a Pulp gig ought to be more of an occasion than a Foos one cos of the gaps, not sure that means owt though..

I’m still certain Pulp are going to be there, just a matter of when and where. Can we rule out the Park TBAs since they’ve already done one? It would be a good double bluff though…

Yeah I’m quite desperate for it to be Pulp. Speculation is gonna drive us mad till then.

I’m ok for the moment 🤞 I don’t know how I’m going to concentrate for the next couple of weeks. My first Glastonbury was only my third festival, couple of Leeds under my belt. Didn’t have any real hopes or expectations beyond having a fun weekend. 21 years later I’m still not really sure how to explain to people it’s not just a festival.

Oh yes. Considering the amount I’ve put away on the farm it’s only ever been mild hangovers too. Never had hangxiety there 🥳 My productivity has plummeted, 11 work days to get through, getting very real now..

Fever Ray cos I love them. Lana Del Rey probably, cos I’ve never seen her. Not enough of a fan to see her at Hyde Park or an arena. Falls into the category of like em enough but probably wouldn’t go out of me way, so if I do see her it’ll be at a festival. Seen Guns N’ Roses before. Well, Axl, Buckethead and a load of randomers, got a few decent tracks but short of hearing em on the radio occasionally I never listen to em. Leaning towards Elton John for the Sunday. Never actually listened to an album but I’ll probably know most the set. Not exactly a bucket list act, back in that wouldn’t go to their own gig but maybe see em at a festival category. Lad’s got a couple of duets off the top of me head, so think guests are more likely. If I hadn’t seen Queens of the Stoneage a few times, it’d be them.

Ok I’ve not successfully got tickets as lead booker since the 2010 sale.. do they go to lead booker or by registration? Can’t remember. Also, how likely is it to matter if your picture is 10 years younger and 8st lighter 😬

I’ve got butterflies this morning. It’s been a rough few years, it’s been a long time since I’ve been this excited about anything.

Booked the Monday before off. I don’t know what planet I was on when I thought oh I’ll work the Monday, get my sh*t together and go down Tuesday. I’ll be neither use nor ornament to anyone that day, feeling quite distracted and very useless this week and it’s not going to get better from here.
