Was looking at the PiL stuff earlier this morning. Saying both are sold out for pre-order even though I only got the pre-order mailer this morning. Release date is 11th Nov but I thought they were both a bit pricey at £166 & £106.

Edit - oops just re-read the mail. Vinyl releases delayed until Dec 16th.

I never really go for the 4 disc outtakes, demos etc re-release tryp stuff. Tend to maybe listen to it once and thats it. Not worth the extra cash.

Empire of the sun have their new album out today, if you're a fan of M83 you should check it out

I enjoyed the first album, second totally passed me by. Will make an effort to give the second and this latest album a spin in the near future.

I seem to remember I listened to the first album as they were going to play The Park stage a couple years back.

new Japandroids album Near to the Wild Heart of Life announced for unspecified date in 2017. woo. it's been far too long. get em booked for the festival n'all

They smashed the headline slot on the completely delightful Sunrise stage at Latitude a few years ago. Would love to see them on the Farm. They'd be ace on Hell at 2am!!

Would recommend that the pop heads check out Tkay Maidza's debut album 'Tkay' that came out last week.

Talented Aussie rapper with some great pop production. She has a song with a Killer Mike feature, which is a pretty rare thing nowadays, but I don't rate that song as highly as the others so here's another one...

the new Japandroids song is ace. maybe a little cleaner/slicker than they've previously sounded, but just as rockin'. cannot wait for this album! absolute bullshit if they're not booked for Glastonbury

Oh I didn't realise/forgot you could post Soundclouds. Yeah I've given it a few listens and it's, as you say, a little clean and I didn't know what to think at first. Now I'm loving it. Feel like tour dates aren't far off.

    • Audrey Hobert getting a lot of traction lately and new single on Friday. Wonder if she could be round next summer.
    • Think Pulp are optimistic, not in terms of size but just that they've been on the road (albeit not intensively) for 3 years in a row and it feels like EotR is the deliberate end of the cycle.   Would be fairly surprised if they're active next year.
    • 👍 plus they brought their own screens 📺 either side of the stage.
    • Production was the only thing that could even explain why she would back out. Like they had sorted out the financials and she was fine with it and then a production meeting happened. It all fell apart. It was very clear that she was not going to compromise her show one bit and then that show in Brazil pretty much confirmed it. There was like one element they couldnt pull off outdoors, but it was negligible since the rest was a carbon copy of the tour she had been on. Glasto is not willing to make any bold changes on the Pyramid stage so then theyre kinda stuck in terms of what some acts want/demand. I think the easiest solution to that is putting her on Friday. You deal with the changes for one night and then re configure for the rest of the weekend. In 24 they were fortunate to have had Dua and Coldplay on Fri and Sat so they could both use the b stage. But I think it was removed for Sunday?     I saw a random rag article earlier that said Olivia Dean turned down Glasto BECAUSE her ex ( not even confirmed dating ) Harry Styles was playing the fest. hahahaha
    • No argument that he’s bigger than ever, I just have no enthusiasm for it.
