Been away for a few days but has it been mentioned that 2016 line up page has been formatted into a top of a posted design with the names we already know http://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/line-up/

I wonder if that style will continue and we wont get stage splits like 2013, probably most likely...

I think the format will be more like last year, given that's how it's looking already which is fine as gives us something to look forward to as they drop more information...

I liked the way they announced all the smaller stages separately as gave you the chance to absorb and view the lineup better

Looking at the initial poster from last year who were the real main surprises that had not been predicted? Maybe Motorhead, Mary J Blige, Waterboys  and Special Guest I suppose.

The good thing (or maybe bad thing!) about this forum is that due to the high level of commitment a lot of acts are ruled in or out prior to the release of the lineup so most of it's not a huge shock. Hoping for one or two surprises though to get everyone excited.

Is there any logic behind Line up tomorrow or just hope?

A guy has been told lineup tomorrow by a source who's given him accurate information before. Neil then confirmed he'd also heard this. The original guy then said it's coming between 8-9am.

Just realised how terrible the visuals were on line up poster last year!

Hope they stick with a colour scheme this year. Quite liking the blue on the confirmed acts so far.

I was thinking that earlier this year. The last two years I've checked on here regularly and last year especially I knew lots of the acts on the poster were likely to be there. New Order are an example this year of a pretty big act that will probably be there which I won't be at all surprised by now. last year Motörhead and Mary J Blige definitely jumped out as pretty exciting bookings which came out of nowhere though!

The great thing about last year was how many acts that were on the wishlist but not confirmed ended up being there. No Taylor was a massive wound, but getting Patti Smith, Todd Terje, FKA Twigs, Sleaford Mods, Charli XCX, Father John Misty, Flying Lotus and Belle & Sebastian all confirmed in one go was mental. I don't think I'd seen Mary J Blige's name mentioned before, so she was a very nice curveball. Pretty sure we knew about Hot Chip and Kanye quite a while before.

Mary j was a massive surprise i hadn't heard any mention of her last year. I'm hoping for someone similar maybe missy Elliott or Lauryn Hill as a curveball? Don't think I've heard either of them mentioned but they've both been around lately

Too many white people at Glastonbury for Lauryn Hill.

Would quite like to see Pete Doherty and MGMT on the line up. They'd be good surprises for me, though not necessarily big surprises.

Beck would be a big surprise for me, even if there has been a fair amount of talk regarding him

I remember Neil mentioning previously that it's easier to get US acts in under the radar because they're less likely to pop up in the rumour mill.

Hoping for an unexpected Sufjan on the poster.

That's probably the best surprise we could get for me after Radiohead. Was listening to Carrie & Lowell again last night and it's such a great album, still comfortably my favourite of last year.

Don't Swedge, it's a fool's hope. Would be fucking ace though.

My realistic hopes are Kendrick, Anderson .Paak, Warpaint, ESG, Floating Points, Cat Power and Susanne Sundfor. LCD and Art Garf are already nailed on. Unrealistic hopes would be Drive Like Jehu and At The Drive-In.

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.
