Chris Evans on radio 2 and Shaun Keavney on 6 music to announce unless they are on holiday? Radio one probably as well come to think about it but seems 2 and 6 are more involved these days.

Just found out Chris Martin's great great Grandfather is the dude who introduced Daylight Savings Time.

Family of dicks, then.

This is the strongest argument that time travel will never being invented. If it were you could get two birds with one stone.

As we obviously have a good idea of how the top of the lineup is going to shape up, this is my final wish for how it turns out. Mostly realistic acts but not how I'm expecting them all to be placed.

Muse / Foals / Beck / Iggy Pop / Run The Jewels
Disclosure / Bastille / The 1975

Adele / Kendrick Lamar / The Last Shadow Puppets
Radiohead / New Order / CHVRCHES

Coldplay / Ellie Goulding / Tame Impala / Jeff Lynne's ELO
LCD Soundsystem / Bring Me The Horizon / PJ Harvey

RTJ > Iggy > Beck > Foals > Muse

TLSP > Kendrick > Radiohead

ELO > PJ Harvey > Savages on Park > LCD Soundsystem

Swap Radiohead and Kendrick maybe if that ties in better with the info we have.

Unfortunately, I don't expect Beck, Iggy, RTJ, Kendrick or Radiohead to be there (Beck and Radiohead most likely of the lot), and I expect LCD Friday with Disclosure also not being there.

Would expect/prefer RTJ subbing JP if they did turn up but that doesn't work for me being able to see them so Pyramid it is :P

Why is Iggy not likely :(

Quick bump to get the headliners thread back on the front page - that LCD Soundsystem set list from last night looks perfect doesn't it?

It's very good.

Was hoping they'd bring Disco Infiltrator back to the set though

Poster day is a an emotional rollercoaster....anticipation, then the excitement of seeing the lineup for the first time, like a kid unwrapping Christmas presents. After that comes confusion ("but what stage will [insert band name] play?") and then dread and fear as it dawns on you that there WILL be clashes.

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.
    • In a 6,800-word Substack essay, external, the Clacton MP said "anti-white racism was embedded into the state", and that legislation aimed at equality was a form of "social cleansing"   .https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cdjkd4mp93zo   The privileged white c**t hasn’t got a clue what racism is.
    • BBC iPlayer: Will serve as the main hub for past sets, including both recent hits and iconic archival gems. You can explore the BBC iPlayer to watch curated compilations, "Best of Glastonbury" recaps, and on-demand replays of historic headline performances. [1, 2, 3] TV Broadcasts (BBC Two & BBC Three): The channels will air dedicated compilation shows. Leading up to the weekend, you can watch archive programming such as Glastonbury: 70s Legends, 80s Legends, and 90s Legends on BBC Two. [1] Radio & BBC Sounds: Pop-up Glastonbury radio stations on BBC Sounds will feature non-stop coverage, including exclusive mixes and huge sets from past years
    • Got HBO Max to watch football so watched One Battle After Another which is a great film and deserves its awards and then rewatched Magnolia and that is a flipping amazing film...so much in it. (also rewatching Angels In America series which is also amazing).
