NME Awards a couple of hours away... Did we ever establish whether they are actually sponsored by the city of Austin in Texas?

Weirdly, they are actually sponsored by the city. Not really sure how or why that ever came about but hey.

None on the headliners at the moment Morph

Betfair have some interesting betting on Coldplays first song

Just noticed that there too. Not really worth betting on anything there though given that A Head Full of Dreams seems most likely and it isn't even listed.

(Didn't) NME sponsor South by South West (Music Fest) in Austin Texas.

Or is that too obvious and I dunno what you lot are in about?

Otherwise known as SXSW.

Google / wiki it.

It's a pretty big deal.

It's just their tourist board trying a new way to advertise the city

This partnership represents an incredible opportunity to expose our Live Music Capital of the World brand and outstanding Austin talent to their fan base."

"Additionally, Austin represents a long established and world renowned musical legacy and we’re looking forward to globalising that image."

How about  a bit of Shania - very long introduction but when she hits the stage - OOHHH MAMA!!!! I would love her to be one of the female acts.

Rather her than Fucking Coldplay

    • Been a pretty rainy June where I live (no where near the festival). What’s the weather been like in Pilton recently?   How’s the ground doing?
    • Couple of degrees warmer please.
    • With this being a fallow year do we know if the Beeb is going to show any past years highlights or make sets available on Iplayer to give us some glasto content as we await a return to the fields?

    • Brazil's first half was genuinely dreadful all round, not just the midfield, so they're absolutely not bulletproof. Whether Scotland have the quality to take advantage is a different question.   Tbf, that's as much on Morocco looking good, which I did think was a possibility. They could be a bit annoyed with themselves not to have scored more before Vini's goal tbh.
