Muse still have tickets to sell on their tour but then again so do Coldplay on their opening Wednesday Wembley night including loads of pitch standing. I imagine Wednesday is a difficult night to get there if you're not local....should have stopped at 3 nights really.

Adele to be confirmed at the Brits as a hunch. "Within the next 2 weeks". Doesn't want to make it look obvious

Yeah I reckon you might be right. Although Radiohead as a credible headliner to balance out Coldplay also seems plausible. I certainly can't see them announcing Muse within a fortnight of Coldplay, would seem too much like a pisstake!

Well that's a pretty eclectic mix I have to say!

They just need to get rid of springsteen and bring nick cave into the mix for a flawless trio.

What if Portishead were in the mix as well, which 3 of Cohen, Lips, Cave and Portishead would you choose?!

But no beans spilled. Nobody seems to be saying anything of interest. At least Katherine Ryan looked pretty (no really).

Poor showing from the Eavii. Nothing let slip as they went up for the award. Maybe later when the the assembled pissed up journo's speak to them in the bar.

More impressive though, Katherine Ryan not letting anything slip in that frock.

Fuck, I didn't expect another announcement until poster day. It isn't gonna be, but please let it be Radiohead - I don't care what else is announced after them. More likely to be Adele though I'd have thought, leaving a remaining few months of agonising Muse vs Radiohead talk

Away from the NME awards, has anyone been watching the Welsh Open snooker for Muse related news?

Why would we? Every single rumour to have ever come out of that competition has proven to be false. even from the bands themselves

    • Brazil's first half was genuinely dreadful all round, not just the midfield, so they're absolutely not bulletproof. Whether Scotland have the quality to take advantage is a different question.   Tbf, that's as much on Morocco looking good, which I did think was a possibility. They could be a bit annoyed with themselves not to have scored more before Vini's goal tbh.
    • Surely nowadays with so much data analytics available on every division in world football and so much awareness that people aren't suckered in on the basis of a decent World Cup game... right?   Although tbf, from what I saw, Australia's game plan worked very well. But that was as much thanks to Turkey blowing varying opportunities given they created enough chances but couldn't finish, a la what happened with Switzerland against Qatar when they really could and should've won by 3/4 goals.
    • I missed Viagra Boys for a good spot for Gorillaz. Was a nice weekend and festival for me. Would definitely come back, if the line up is right. Get back home safe everyone.
    • The Last Temptation - new Heaven 17 documentary film directed by James Strong. Premiered at Sheffield Docfest this weekend.    I really enjoyed it. Affectionate, insightful, and honest. A nice mix of archival and footage, interviews and clips from the last tour. Martyn and Glenn are like an old married couple.   Plus a snippet of news from the Q&A, Martyn is recording new BEF material, and Phil Oakey has collaborated on the one of tracks. The film shows them meeting in Fagans for the first time in over 35 years.
