With a new album out in February and tour dates announced surely they will be back at the farm next year but where would they play? Starting to think they could be a headliner?

They've downgraded from arenas to academies on the new tour so I think it's safe to say they've missed the boat as a headliner.

Pyramid sub or Other headliner for them and I think those slots are already oversubscribed for 2017 so I wouldn't be surprised if they skipped the festival next year.

Yeah I was thinking Other headliner but think they could also be considered for Pyramid headliner too. As you say he does seem to have a relationship with the festival!

I would be staggered if they headline the Pyramid at their current level of popularity.

I used to think of early Elbow as a bit Radiohead-lite. Less so nowadays as they're a bit more commercial sounding. Dunno whether that affects their chances of playing before Radiohead more or less.

I still have a lot of time for Elbow and wouldn't mind seeing them pop up at some point. Headlining is well beyond them now, subbing isn't - they are at least on a par with or more popular than Tame Impala or Beck. That said they subbed in 2014 and would be back with pretty much the same schtick.

Third on Sunday after the legend would be my bet.

Seriously, I hope this pile of shite doesn't get anywhere near Glastonbury ever again. They are boring as hell, and believe me I've listened to some boring poor quality music but this stuff is out of this world and takes the fukkin biscuit. In fact I'm totally sure they are another "rocknroll swindle", as in conning and brainwashing the naïve twats that think they're absolutely brilliant. If they played my local social club I'd want my money back!

Sorry, didn't mean to sound offensive and if you love them then good for you. I like all sorts of music and I'm fully aware Elbow are an acquired taste, but I reckon I know when a band is taking the total piss and Elbow imo definitely are. The Pistols did it very well but Elbow do it badly, it's an obvious swindle and fuk knows why they have any fans at all. My 10 year old Boxer dog can sing better than that bloke.
