absolutely second this ... David did our lineup pages behind the scenes so even if you didnt meet him , he was actively helping every one of you reading over last couple of years , also helped with efest and the meet photography . An absolutely lovely guy that many of you will have chatted to over the years . hopefully this makes him as comfortable as possible . Thanks for sharing @RandomBunny

Thank you all, really appreciate the donations from Efestival friends!!

it was hell to miss the festival this year, with a ticket too!! Still, have 18 consecutive Glastonbury’s so I’m lucky.

Thanks @RandomBunny xxxx

I was only too happy to assist and answer your questions about using the Accessible Facilities. So sad that you didn't get there. Take care David and I hope the physiotherapy helps ease your symptoms. 😘

I think I first met David in 2011 at the Twisto Thursday afternoon meet at the festival. He captured the spirit of those gatherings perfectly through his camera for several years. He was a keen traveller and also took many a fantastic photograph during his trips around the world. I'll certainly miss seeing those images pop up on Instagram and the odd DM about Glastonbury and travel. What a nice guy he was. Very sad news.

I'm so sad to hear this news. David was an incredibly kind human who really loved what he did and loved the festival community. He always did all he could to help and never expected anything in return - someone who had such a positive influence on those around him, even evident from this thread alone. He offered his assistance in helping to keep the site up to date, single handedly keeping the Glasto lineups and rumours current. He was also a very talented photographer, kindly allowing us to use his photos taken for the FMS. So sad I never got to meet him in person and buy him a drink. He will be greatly missed. RIP David.

Just heard the sad news from a fellow festival friend. Nice to see so many people who knew David saying such wonderful things about him, though not difficult as he was a great person to know.
I knew him from the 'old-gits' group from when I first went to Glastonbury and later met him at various other festivals , well mainly Bearded.
RIP

I never met Avalon_Fields but can see that he made a great impression on the people he did meet in person. That's not necessarily an easy thing to achieve - unless one really is a nice person and not making any effort to achieve it - as in this instance. I feel for his family and friends loss. RIP.
