2025 Headliners

At the time Lana was due to start the field was pretty full (not dangerous) just full -  (as we know it was smaller when she came on stage). But yeah I would think she is a much more popular pick than Charli

Id also say Lana has a better claim to being a Pyramid Headliner than Charli XCX.

He was against Royal Blood I think.

The Brat thing as in the tour where she played the o2 once then manchester birmingham and glasgow arenas? That's pretty normal. The more online you are, the bigger she seems. Genuinely don't see how she is much bigger than Fred Again in 2023.

Fair play. Not much bigger, but all depends on the reality of the headliner draw. Won't be an Avril no matter what.

Lana del Rey was a normal crowd at the other stage and she has since sold out stadiums effortlessly.

If she was that big she'd be Headlining outright so the festival clearly doesn't think she is.

Fair point again, though shifts can happen and Lana is more of a Stan crowd, than Charli who had National Trust guides doing ads in bratspeak. Genuinely interested how it pans out. All up for grabs!

Me too.  Not interested enough to go and see her but I look forward to hearing all about it! 🙂

He still has to create a show and all that stuff. Maybe didnt want to put all that energy into a couple of gigs. I mean the Coliseum show was 8 months in the making. You think its easy to just do Glasto? He mightve wanted to try some things and it was just going to take up too much of his time and decided to not do it.

I think she needs to be on Pyramid one way or another as to not cause a literal stampede. And if she was against Neil Young you are asking for a disaster at Other.

obviously i dont think that, again a very poor attitude to a question that i merely asked, my original question was, did it come from a reliable place?

  that was it 😄

Black Sabbath for legends slot would be nice

I think Ozzy really only has about five or six songs in him at the absolute most.

though if they want me to front the band for the Dio-era stuff i'm in

Is there going to be many people from 35 upwards rushing to see a performance based around a brat tour? My little sister is just 30 now and she's happy c xcx is on. But has never heard of Neil Y.

Depending on what’s on other stages I’ll be there and I’m a tad over 35

Did you measure crowd size at the listed start time or 45 minutes later when she actually bothered to show up?

Your occasional PSA reminder that while the general rule of don't be a d*ck should always apply anyway, please be particularly mindful of not being a d*ck in response to reasonable questions from newer / less frequent posters.

Edit: unless they pop up on a 2 year old thread, include links trying to flog stuff. Then have at it.

I'd buy a ticket just to see you doing Lady Evil

Edit: as it were. Matron.

My two cents on Charli is that I believe there's a good chance, if she's up against Neil Young, that she'll have the bigger crowd of the two.

The fact that Victoria Park hasn't sold out yet has a lot of caveats to it, such as the fact that there's a hell of a lot of big artists touring next year, the show was announced whilst she was already doing a tour, and maybe people aren't as willing to travel to see her but would watch her all the same.

Look at how busy the likes of The Sugababes, Avril Lavigne, etc have been in recent years and compare it to their demand outside of the festival. You get a lot of people who'll see them because they're at the festival, but wouldn't necessarily see them elsewhere - I think Charli may well be a huge example of an artist with the festival pull.

You've also got to bear in mind the age of people at the festival. Whilst Glasto's age demographic may skew slightly higher than other major festivals due to the fact that it's Glastonbury, but the overall crowd will still be largely made up of 16-30 year olds - An age group which are much more likely to have an interest in Charli than Neil Young.

I reckon you’re right. I might watch Neil Young if he were on earlier in the day, but as a headliner no. He’s hardly going to warm me up for a night of dancing

100% agree about her festival pull being larger than others. A lot of my friends will go see her at Glasto but have never had an inch of interest in buying tickets.
