Theyre really gonna go Underworld, Basement Jaxx and Prodigy on diff days on diff stages arent they. I mean if Im seeing one Pyramid headliner it was prob O Rod so Saturday is looking not too frustrating with the alternatives

Hope so. I'll be at all 3 😁

Springsteen really would need to curate smarter if he ever did it again - and Sea.Hear.Now showed he can.

Boat gone on that. He'll be 77 by the time 2027 runs around and despite claims otherwise, I just can't see the E Street Band still being on the road then, at least not without going the Billy Joel route of two or three shows per month max.

Sea.Hear.Now was nothing short of pure magic, i am so thankful that i got to experience that.

it was my first time going to that festival (only went for Bruce) but it is a fantastic event and seeing as i didn't get Glastonbury tickets i think i'll probably head back there instead.

i'm very lucky in that i have seen Bruce in Asbury Park a few times - but the Sea Hear Now show was just a level beyond my ability to express it.

i found Bruce in 2009 to be something of a disappointment and i hoped he'd not play Glastonbury again - however i would, of course, absolutely love to see him there again, and seeing as i wont be there he's bound to be there next year!

Another one who was distinctly underwhelmed by the Boss after seeing Shakey the night before. Didn't watch the seminal Blur gig, f**k knows what i was up to, probably Prodigy and a load of drugs hence why i don't recall.

Plus you can't do all three nights at the Pyramid... sacrilege

Prodigy 2009 was simply f**king awesome.

Pulp any night, any stage would win the weekend for me. Can’t imagine a clash that would take me away from that. Be great to see them on Pyramid though

yup.

Yep agree with this, really enjoyed Neil Young, but found Bruce Springsteen hard going - I just didn’t know enough of his stuff and remember being stood in the field feeling cold and bored, should have moved on but thought it might get more exciting.

Blur was the best of the three (sorry)

I saw all 3 headliners that year, possibly the last time I’ve done that. I was 2nd row for Springsteen so it was still a great experience for me but acknowledge the disappointing show. He played a Joe Strummer song at the start which seemed a mistake (a relatively obscure number too).

Seeing Pulp subbing on the pyramid would make my festival.. watching their set on TV in 95 was the reason I started going to Glastonbury .. I want to see the pyramid field singing along to common people. They’re so much fun live, i’m going to see them at tramlines anyway but a pyramid slot would be amazing.

Absolutely! - They did a 'secret' set on The Park in the 2011 mud bath and were fantastic. Worst case, I'll be there at Tramlines too but surely it's time they returned to Glastonbury

I didn’t move from the pyramid stage that year and regret nothing:

CSN

Spinal Tap

just reformed Specials

Fear era Lilly Allen

Madness

Tom Jones

Quo

Cave

NERD

Rolf (we didn’t know)

Prime era Dizzee

Kasabian before they fell off a cliff.

Superb!

So Emily has to be sitting well with Matty Healy ranting right now on twitter lol

He’s said worse - which isn’t a defence just an observation, I don’t think this particular outburst will torpedo any contract they had (if they had).

If it’s an issue of recency bias there’s a wider argument to be had on statute of limitations on judgements of character.

By all means replace them though!

Concur here. He's said plenty, though the whole postmodern schtick obviously means their interpretation is frequently up for grabs. (Again, not a defence, but an observation.)

Let's also not sugarcoat that the festival has booked plenty of artists before with off-stage troubles too. Again, not a defence, but an observation.

If there is a contract at this point for them - I'm not sure, but if anyone could say whether there has been further movement on the sources who laid out this information originally - then it could be revoked if he is found to be in breach of it, of course.

Specials

Lilly Allen

Madness

Tom Jones

Nick Cave

Rolf H

Kasabian
