    Ticket queing

Not seen the booking page in more than a decade now. I can sympathise for those who are frustrated by the process as if it was down to me, I'd not have attended the festival since 2013 despite trying in a F5 refreshing frenzy every sale/resale. A queueing system would be much worse though.
  2. Weather models usually have a general gist within 120-144 hours or so i.e. is there going to be high or low pressure over the UK - rainfall amounts (and where exactly) is a much shorter timescale though. The GFS weather model goes up to 384 hours for those that want to torture themselves over a couple of weeks!
  3. Frustrating as usual. I already had tickets but was trying for a friend. I've not seen the booking page in more than a decade but one of our group gets through every single time.
  4. Low 20s with cloud/sun please! - I personally find a scorcher as bad as a mud bath (I've done several of both scenarios). Feels like we are well overdue a mud bath, think 2017 was the last one?
  5. There's zero chance I'd ever not pay the balance as it's such an amazing festival experience. However the line-up is definitely on the weak side this year. I don't think the headliners are the issue (Dua Lipa, Coldplay are both good bookings) but I don't think I've ever seen such a weak looking Pyramid line up further down the list, it's very uninspiring. It desperately needs a 'churn ups' entry added to it if nothing else.
  6. The area around the truth stage was awful this year for congestion, this needs to be wider or the Truth Stage needs a separate area so that people passing through don't get caught up in the crowd watching the stage. They need to do more to draw people into the IICON arena area which is huge and highly impressive. Whenever I've been there, it's been completely dead though with very niche music.
  7. Needs 2-3 years of dogshit weather! These sunny ones have made everyone and their dog want to try.
  8. As others have mentioned, I just find the hot weather grinds me down mainly through lack of sleep as i cant bear to be in a tent after 8am or so. Worthy View tents seem to get particularly hot.
  9. 8/10 weather wise for me personally. Obviously its down to personal preference but i find hot days hard work getting around stages and then lack of sleep as the tent is like an oven at 8am.
  10. An awesome experience as usual but a few gripes seeing as there is a topic! Still some potentially dangerous bottle necks when crowds were moving between areas particular the Truth stage area - got stuck gridlocked here a few times. Bigger draws are needed at IICON - a brilliantly designed area but never seems busy. Many of the evening stages play very similar music. Possibly just to my untrained ear but not alot of variety! Weather was also too hot at times, particularly on Saturday. Obviously personal preference and nothing the festival can do but i find it hard work when the sun is beating down on you and little shade.
  11. This GFS run isn't looking great early next week. Still too far away to be sure but there's a lot of rain about.
  12. Looks like a warm festival with potential for showers judging by current output. Depends how close the trough in the Atlantic gets - if it stays further west then we could end up with hot air being dragged up from Spain which I'm not overly keen on either! Ideal conditions for me would be low 20s sun/cloud.
  13. I'd prefer a wet one than a scorcher - wet is hard work moving between stages but hot weather just gets unbearable with the little shade available. Another 2 weeks to get a rough idea of what the weather will be though and not until a few days before for it to be fully reliable.
  14. Temperature wise it looks ideal to me - will be more than pleasant in the sun and maybe a light jumper in the evenings. A scorcher is a horrendous affair, as bad as a wash out in my opinion as the heat soon wears you down and your tent is like an oven the minute the sun comes up. Rain wise, looks like a mixed bag from Friday onwards - hard to predict with showers but the wellies will definitely be in the car in case we get unlucky and end up with a sustained period of rain.
