So the post could have said anything at all, so long as the next rumours are explained as being their replacement?

Sounds fool proof.

Didn't just say anything though did it, said Fred, Olivia and if they couldn't get Rihanna that Stevie was seen as a next viable option along and while Sam Fender was seen as a headliner, they would preferably like to keep him back until later with his team open to taking a lower role but that was mutual.

So right now thing in that post is actually wrong.

So the front runners for now are?

Friday: The 1975

Saturday: Olivia Rodrigo

Sunday: Probably either Stevie Wonder or Rihanna? With Sam Fender/Fred Again/Eminem as the other options

Spot on I think yeah although apparently 1975 came in place of Fred so could probs take him out. I think Fender is most likely tbh

Yeah Fender has got a very good source, Eminem isn't strong enough, same level really as someone saying a football deal is done yet you're 4 weeks away from signing the papers.

Don't get what you're asking?

Why was no one just saying what these rumours are on here? Being sheepish about it all?

Edited by OddRon
It’s been said now but initially people were just saying it looked bad on discord but were not saying who.

Sam and Eminem more likely than Stevie and Rihanna

I'm not sure which rumours you're referring to?

Only new one I've seen is the 1975. That info only arrived this morning

Just to add a different perspective to the snark, The 1975 would smash a headline slot!

It doesn't really matter if they smash it or they're totally abysmal, at least we'll get to find out if they are big enough to headline! 🙂

Basically 'The Post' is actually still right haha. They got the days the wrong way but it's apparently a Fred replacement. So provided Olivia is in then that Sunday is a case whichever one says yes lol.

1975 as a replacement for someone other people wanted more? We in the Reading thread by accident?

Completely agree, my favourite live band currently. Last tour was a sell out globally. They’re ready and they’ll absolutely hit it out the park, if true.

This years headliner line up is looking really poor.

The 1975

Olivia Rodrigo

Eminem/Sam Fender

Rod Stewart

Wouldn't hang your hat on Rod Stewart just yet.

Who would be your ideal Legend, out of interest? I've never watched one in 13 years..

Cher or Annie Lennox for me.

I've seen Diana Ross, who vocally wasn't great but knocked out the bangers with the help of her backing singers and Cat Stevens, who i thought was brilliant.

Crikey! 😂

Not impressed at all if that's who we get. Fender is good but going seeing him in Manchester in a few weeks anyway so not overly bothered about seeing him twice.

No interest in any of the others. Rod Stewart isn't even half decent karaoke standard anymore either. It would be an absolute car crash.

    • Ghost did it on their last tour  and there was a whole article of people complaining about it at the Manchester gig cause somehow they werent informed and didnt know why there was a massive queue to enter the venue. At MSG everyone was given a souvenir ticket which had their seat info written on it so you knew where go to. Itll be fine.   added dates due to sign ups for presale.
    • If anyone happens to have a Sunday ticket (or two) to sell then I would be interested in buying for face value. Thanks!
    • NIN and Bjork for sure 😉
    • When are  the stage splits ??
    • 13th Primavera (Thursday was definitely making me feel like this was the cursed year).  Blood Orange was such a party by the end of their set but we all knew that rain storm was approaching.  So gutted Massive Attack didn't play after the false hope of a new rescheduling, especially knowing that Elizabeth Fraser & Horace Andy were backstage with them!  Managed a bit of Melt Banana but was just so over the weather by that point.   Friday was awesome, Rilo Kiley were so much fun.  Never been the biggest Cure fan but made the effort for them after Thursday & Robert Smith sounds like he did back in the 80s.  PinkPantheress & Viagra Boys were also great.   The highlight for me was Sudan Archives on the Saturday, she was stunning & with the Olivia Rodrigo surprise set too it made up for the Thursday sh*t show.  Dijon & Knocked Loose also superb.   Shoutout to Cardiacs on the Tuesday too, they were so LOUD, played a storming set.
