The likes of the Stones and Bruce will sell out wherever they play, but many acts would dilute their own sales if they also did festivals on the same tour as a big gig.

Taylor and Kendrick both had BST dates booked for 2020.

Thats more pedantic, loads of headliners do big uk shows at the same time

 

billie eilish did an 11 date arena tour around the fest

the killers did cardiff and belfast

coldplay did multiple wembley stadium and other stadium dates

ed sheeran did the o2 around the same time

foos were doing uk stadiums when dave broke his leg in 2015

kasabian did a park in leicester

metallica did sonisphere

mumfords did the olympic park

you've also conveniently forgotten

stevie wonder did hyde park and manchester arena

I dont know how much they get paid, although over the years a few hundred grand has been the figure flung about on here. A few hundred grand is not shite money.

For a band it definitely is by the time that is split between several band members, your crew costs, agent, management and tax is deducted. That’s why no band does Glastonbury for the fee alone as it would be barely worth their time.
