  1. This will be my boys 3rd time - they're now 11 and 8 so I do get it 😂 We've had teh same convo at home as we've been lucky with the weather post covid. Key with the kids if it's raining I reckon is we won't leave the camp / tent until we have a firm plan in mind of where we're heading. No wandering around aimlessly - especially later in the day as they'll be fed up. Circus and theatre are the go to's if raining. Also John Peel / woodsies is good and literally on our doorstep at wicket. We also have rain plans that we'll do the vague stuff that's further out early in the weekend whilst they're still fresh and excited, so do Park, Ribbon Tower, Stone circle etc Thursday / Friday then if needed, can stay closer to home Sat / sun. My biggest dread is the carpark walk - both years post covid, we've not arrived till 6am Thurs morning and been in pink carpark both times - ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC.
  2. So happy to be back here on this thread!! Trying to understand where you all get your info from, guessing way too far in advance what the weather will be, will I need gaitors or not, knowing full well it really doesn't matter because 27hrs ago, we didn't have tickets!! It can do it's worst (And I felt it in 2007!) it's still my favourite place on the planet! xx
  3. Still can’t believe we got tickets this morning - we’d honestly presumed this year would be a fallow year for us but we got very lucky 2 mins in! seems very trivial but I did not want to spend longer on the pages as tickets went through then I had to so did not get the chillys water bottle - bloody annoyed with myself now!! they look really cute - think they’ll have them at the stands once we’re there or have I missed the boat? also, we always just go down to others / pyramid on Thursday and sort our t shirts / hoodi3s there but wondering if I’m missing any cute merch anywhere? I noticed a post where someone mentioned a lady at the park had a forge where you can make your own Glastonbury key chain and bits which I’ll try… .anything else I’ve missed over the years? Xx
  4. Trying to bookmark the closest link so I can just hit refresh at 0859… is this the screen you’re getting?(i know you’ve all tried it!!)
  5. mind sharing how you set up the macros please? Does it require external app? thanks!
  6. Aw wish I’d seen this - they’d have made a fortune off me! I now realise I also have my kids t shirts from previous years that, unlike us, they’ll never fit in again… have to get creative with boring picture frames key ring is a good idea. I also saw one lady who had kind of folded each wristband into a little shape and pinned them over a hat!
  7. I’ve always thought there must be a good way of displaying or otherwise keeping old festival bands and bags etc? I have over 10 years worth of wristbands, tote bags, guardian bags, tickets etc and would love for them to be displayed rather than in a box in the loft… does anyone have any ideas or pictures for inspo?? xx
  8. By the time we thought about it last year, they’d run out of kids stuff in our sizes - I wasn’t bothered at the time and told them we’d by them when we got home- they never had the kids stuff in sizes online either so I was bad parent! do not want to make that mistake again - when do they normally open? so excited to set off tomorrow!!!!
  9. Ok, I’ve read this thread for soooo long and I have found the courage to out myself and ask… where are these forecasts from? what do you mean by gfs, “the finger”??!! whats 18z, 6z, 12z? Any other acronyms I should be aware of? I’ve been around long enough to understand NFR NFC… been coming since 2008 😳😳
  10. Been coming many years but last year was the first time with the kids and apparently we’re no longer allowed to come alone!! arrived last year Thursday around 6am (5hr drive if we do it at that time) which was perfect for us, school, length of stay onsite and still found pitch we wanted on Wicket BUT A BIG PROBLEM was Pink car parking 😓😓 we’ve never experienced it before as pre kids, we used to come early doors wed so no issues being on the at least the right side of the road but that walk was awful! we don’t want the kids having the horrific queues by being there first thing wed - was wondering what arrival time of around 5-6pm was like? Which side of the road is more likely and what the gate queues are like? Just a bit of advice really - we’ve got a bigger tent as well now kids insist on coming so dragging 15kg of tent all that way sends me into a panic! TIA
  11. Self explanatory really, is this possible? Family member had their camper on there last year whilst we were camping and ended up in the furthest field in Pink carparks available! 😞 Mare They mentioned why don't we park at Bath & West as there was lots of room and get the bus in with our gear this year.... is this allowed? I've always just parked where we land.. (We're going to go for gate opening this year so hopefully be a little closer, at least the right side of the road...) Thanks x
  12. Thanks for this!! We were in pink this year and thinking exactly the same - specially with two kids in tow. We are going for gate opening next year specifically in the hope of a closer car park.. we’ve never been so far from the gate in 10 years!!! we did two trips also this year and worked well so will do the same. have a good garden trolley but may invest in pneumatic wheels….. but it’s not going to rain is it!!!!!
  13. Keep hearing about the fresh and black ones but kids will be 7&10 so not an option o don’t think… they sound fab tho!
  14. I’m so delighted to be able to do this but gutted for those who didn’t get tickets - especially the hard core lovers, I hope this ain’t insensitive but I’m too excited! we brought our two kids this year for their first glasto and lucky enough to get tickets again.. to say they’re excited is an understatement! we brought a 4 man vis a vis this year and it was just too small.. way too small. If it had thrown it down for a while I’m not sure how we’d have coped. we own a few tents and would love to be able to bring our icarus 500 (without additional awning). Weighs about 15-16kg I think. Has anyone any experience of trolleying similar into site? I’d hope to come down overnight Tuesday to arrive wed for openi mg next year and so park a little closer than Pink which we ended up in this year Thursday morning!! many thanks
  15. As the title, 1st time bringing our rugrats this year (Sooooooo excited!!) so we're gonna head for Wicket - what's the best route to follow for PGA? TIA
