I've had info from a very reliable source that the headliners are Arctic Monkeys, Dua Lipa and Depeche Mode.

Now that would be far more like a proper set of headliners.

Shame the old piano geezer is already confirmed, could move him to the "legends slot" where he belongs, perfect for the picnic blanket and camping chair posse.

anyone any guesses on this ? im stumped

I’m interested why you really want people to engage and believe in this when it’s clearly duff info. If you’re even stumped thinking of someone who fits the mould… doesn’t that speak volumes?

Assuming it is AM and GnR... if I was in Glasto's position, I'd be tempted to hold back AM and announce them together, maybe with the rest of the lineup. Might feel a little less underwhelming than separate announcements. Idk.

Just saying…. AM headlining the fest isn’t as ‘underwhelming’ for people as the majority who post on here would have you think. They’ve always been an insanely popular band and I know many will be very happy with them as headliners🤷‍♂️

Out of interest, what makes you the voice in the know? Which record label do you work for?

Agree fully.  There’s 8 of us going this time and we’re all hoping they play (well some of the older stuff 😂)

Absolutely agree - going with 14 others and they’re all more than happy with the prospect of them headlining

thanks, that sound much more likely than the other list.

My take at the moment is we have one certainty in Reg and two “most likely” candidates in AM and GnR, neither are 100% nailed on for me but right now they do seem the most likely outcome. Obviously there is still plenty of time for things to change but right now that would be my prediction too. Big different though between what I’ve said there and saying they’re definitely 100% nailed on.

People seem to be trying to manifest Styles, possibly because they’ve “heard something” and want the clout that comes with being proven right, but the dates don’t stack given what we know about his tours. Said right at the start that if Harry Styles had any intention of headlining Glastonbury he wouldn’t have taken that Belgium gig on the Saturday night. Had he been doing the Sunday in Belgium I’d happily entertain the prospect of him playing GF Friday.

What a year of misogyny that was. Racist too.

Deliberately inflammatory posts don't usually get a rise from me but this is a bit ridiculous.  Sure there was an obvious absence of female headliners across most stages in 2009 but it's a bit much to suggest misogyny?

I'm completely unclued as to the 'racist' reference...happy to be educated though....

    • Yesterday was was Primavera is all about and a reminder of why I come back every year. I saw 9 acts, very diverse in terms of genre and vibe, and most of them were great.  Highlights:   The Cure - have wanted to see them for years. Finally caught them and it was immaculate. Robert Smith's vocals at his age are incredible. The band sounded exactly like the albums which is impressive. 2.5 hours with basically no filler somehow.  Viagra Boys - what a front man! So much energy. Non stop moshing. Sound was great, vibe was top notch. Again 10/10 for me.  Rilo Kiley - basically what pipan said. Not a huge crowd but nice vibe, good sound. Different from the other acts I saw.   I also enjoyed the late night electronic stuff with Aurora Halal and KI/KI being fun. Caught some of Skrillex before Aurora Halal and it was cool in it's own way but not really my thing so we left.
    • Dream Blink day    Blink - Turnstile - Neck Deep - The Story So Far
    • The vibe for Avalanches was spectacular, but i totally understand not wanting to wait in a queue for however long it was.   I had to miss Ethel Cain to queue. Bit annoying, but I had never seen the Avalanches before (either live or DJ set) and it was every bit as joyful as I hoped.   Great little stage, either way.
    • The Smashing Pumpkins are also a shout
