And I didnt know Swans are still touring? Michael Gira is currently doing work in progress acoustic shows which I assume would be swans material. They were going to tour in 2020. 2loor2iller
Pet Shop Boys is a massive name for the Wednesday. I’d assumed they’d easily be one of the main headliners. Have they mentioned going bigger on the Wednesday for next year or are PSB just not as big over there or something?
pne094
Haha. Diplo on Sunday? Saturday lineup has to be one of the worst for me in 10 editions. Edited November 29, 2022 by pne094

No, but the assumption is that fans of Calvin Harris, Skrillex, etc. will talk all the way through everything. DM fans, in my opinion (and experience), will not. May be wrong, but they’re way more in keeping with where PS came from.
Andrej
Strong line up, as expected. But then again, lets rewind and imagine someone telling you 5 years ago that Calvin Harris will headline Primavera :))) times they are a changing

Andrej
Also, what people always tend to forget is that Primavera is now in bed with Live Nation. Which changes everything. Its booked a bit differently than it was booked years ago. LN have their pool of acts, and some are shared across tons of LN owned festivals. So we will see more and more "regular" Primavera bookings, more mainstream stuff, that might not be what old school fans of the festival expect. lessthanwill1
It doesn't look quite as strong as usual... Thursday seems a bit week but there's still Karenn, Boris, Le Tigre, Darkside and Perfume. Friday has Kendrick, Swans, Soft Pink Truth, Upsammy, The Mars Volta, Unwound, Alvvays, Channel Tres, Japanese Breakfast, Tzusing and Julia Holter. Saturday I think looks great: Laurie Anderson, Death Grips, Gilla Band, FKA Twigs, Kelela, JPEGMAFIA, Jockstrap, Crack Cloud and Avalon Amerson. Float
Very poor line-up. That Saturday is shockingly crap. I think the highlight that day would be seeing Frodo Baggins DJ under 'Wooden Wisdom'

ConfidenceMan
Those headline acts are a bit of a head scratcher but beyond that, it's not a million miles away from the last few years. The undercard is strong, even if not totally to my taste. I'm glad I held back buying a ticket and I don't think that's worth €325 to me, but I can see how it would be for someone else. Maybe if I lived locally, or had somewhere to crash (or won a ticket...) id still head along, but as it is, 2023 is a no go for me.

Quadrophobia
I don't think the 1000 bucks I'd have to put into this are worth it for me. Most exciting Names imho are Blur, Unwound, Arthur Verocai and The Voidz. If I was there, I'd also go for Kendrick and DM but the price tag is too high for me

We survived Migos and Miley Curys, we will survive Halsey, Skrillex and Calvin Harris 🙂 Forget it, Migos ofc didnt show up. Enkidu
I remember in the 2020/21/22 lineups there were loads of acts in the small text that stood out, but feels like there's barely any standouts this time?

Supernintendo Chalmers
It's a strong lineup but not quite enough to get me to part with the ticket fee plus hotel and flights. Shame, I really loved it this year. Oh well, the search for European festivals in 2023 goes on...

Tempelhof Sounds, Best Kept Secret and the Scandinavian August Fests have nothing at all out yet, so there is no way to say that at this point
birchtree29
I was not expecting to see Primavera and Capital FM Summerball sharing 2 of their headliners in 3 years
ConfidenceMan
I think people are being a little unfair on Halsey, fwiw. The album she put out last year (produced by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross...) was really well received and pretty decent. I mean it's not like they booked Ellie Goulding or something. 3 minutes ago, birchtree29 said: I was not expecting to see Primavera and Capital FM Summerball sharing 2 of their headliners in 3 years
