  1. I mean, probably often a once in a lifetime chance to see big acts other than in the US or Europe where you typically get several chances to see someone live, even for artists that don't tour much
  2. 10 years ago maybe, nowadays no. Also Foals, whatever you think of them, have gone for an arena-sized sound on their last couple of records, which is not something very sought after at PS. I personally like them, they are fun live and most of their record are good to very good, but they are not PS material
  3. nah, The Libertines and PS don't fit, as much as I like them. Acts like Libertines, Foals, Kasabian, Franz Ferdinand and so on won't be booked (anymore) they are more of a FIB Benicassim vibe. Its just this specific brand of British Rock that PS avoids nowadays. PS USP is being the spearhead of European music scene. They won't book someone unless they are rising stars (in their respective scope), absolute legends of their field or have a flawless catalogue (2023 is an exception here bc of the expansion plans). Of course there is always a chance to put yourself back on their radar with a very good record, but you won't see someone like Libertines or - lets say - Noel Gallagher here, who are mostly administering their fame with solid but irrelevant-outside-their-fanbase albums.
  4. If they replace her at all, its not a mandatory thing after all, more of a courtesy. Will hardly impact sales at this point anyway.
  5. I'd say shes unlikely, her tour starts in Belgium one day later, so she probably flies in from the us then. If its was the middle of a tour, you could probably just fit a date in between or restructure the bus route, but rebooking flights at this point with all things involved like toll and stuff seems like too much of a hassle for a single date. I absolutely hate to restart this discussion, but Slowdive would still be free 😄 Also Altin Gün
  6. fair point, but then these type of comments ⬇️ suggest to people there is any knowledge at all about the timetable which there isn't. Apart from the headline and some electronic acts placing an act at any time on any stage is a completely wild guess. This board is read by many more people than just those with accounts.
  7. I don't really undestand the speculative clashfinders, they have never been close to the real one apart from the headliners.
  8. Love how every one of these fake posters isn't the actual poster, but a foto (not a screenshot!) of it showing on a screen so noone can check the image data to see its absolutely not legit 😄
  9. I'm getting more and more hyped as this will likely be my last Primavera for a while, its gotta be a good one! As everyone had a couple of months with the line up, what acts did you discover that one must not miss?
  10. Does ist in general make sense to just book everything I might want to see? Can I cancel my booking the same day and get refunded? Or do i only get refunded, when I attend?
  11. What do you guys think about Stella Maris? Will the co-headline or will they be given an early-evening slot and Tropical f**k Storm will play before Phoenix? As I understand it, they are a TV-Show offspring, but what audience does that show appeal to? Is that something teens watch and thus, PS would place them at like 7pm the latest? If the running order is Ratboys - TFS - Phoenix, I'd probably chose that over The National. Then again, we don't know, if The National will get an act as support that would make their gig more worthwile.
  12. Phoenix vs The National really is an odd clash, would've hurt me tremendously some years ago, whereas now I feel like I could survive going to neither. Phoenix support programm looks great, but I don't care for Stella Maris and lingering with 3/4 of PDF closed, doesn't make much sense. The trip to PDF just to see Phoenix in the unfavourable conditions of a free4all concert and wasting energy on Wednesday already just doesn't seem very exciting right now. I might try for The National Tix, but so will everyone else I assume.
  13. LCD Show in 2016 was a Tuesday not a Wednesday
  14. I honestly don't think secrecy is important at this point. Leaking your Club Line up doesn't hur so probably PS isn't really doing the whole "dont post before" process
  15. Man, as if someone heard my prayers up in heaven (Gabis office). Parallel 62 is even better for me, hope I'll get a ticket for that.
  16. I don't reckon I'll have the strength for any gigs on Sunday but if American Football are placed in Apolo relatively early, I'll give it a go. Our flat is just a couple of minutes by foot from there
  17. So much of this line up grew on me in unexpected ways. I was fond of Vampire Weekend before but the new album made me revisit them and I think I'm more of a fan than ever and them being at PS is a superb booking for me now. Likewise, Royel Otis, Mount Kimbie nd Voytrot were nice acts for me when the line up was announced and now I'm super excited for them Anyone feel the same about any acts? Who is a grower on the line up?
  18. 2016 - 2018 hidden stage was soo good with Lee Ranaldo, Bob Mould, Peaches, Aldous Harding, Jens Lekman, Thurston Moore and The Radio Dept (ffs i would've killed for that gig), Lee Fields, Lets Eat Gradma and Ride, but getting tickets was such a hassle I always missed out
  19. Space Africa won't perform at all, they had to cancel
  20. Primavera Pro Unsure if there will be public concerts by any of these, but if so, Ilgen-Nur is great and Tramhaus would be something fans of recent Post-Punk Bands would probably like a lot
  21. Ah so that was why, thanks for clearing that up.
  22. Having him every two years (or rather editions) seems excessive, especially considering he'd be a contender for 2025 with a new album. Also, he'd have to play Auditori and i don't think there is room for that. I think its highly unlikely unless they pull a type of Matinee show in a venue in the city, like they did in the other Auditori with Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein in 2016
  23. Yeah, whatever you think of the acts personally, Bilbao BBKs Headline is one of the objectively weakest they had in years. Underworld and the Prodigy are headline acts you book if you can't find other headline acts, Grace Jones ist very cool but veery niche and Jungle will have to prove they are ready for the step up to headline level. Arcade Fire, whilst supposedly still a great live act, haven't released anything that was really well received in 10 years and their status has suffered from half-empty venues on tour, will leaving and wins controversy. Apart from Massive Attack there is no band that would be an out-of-the-question headline act. And while you can question Pulps Status as Major-Fest Headliner, most of the headline level bands at PS this year woud be headline level almost anywhere.
  24. This could also just mean Lana only brings half her Entourage which frees about 2k spots on the grounds
