  1. That Royel Otis Debut is absolutely fire. Sounds like Phoenix' best days mixed with some 60s Swagger and Modern Lovers.
  2. Its not yet clear if there will bey day tickets available, last year they had been available since December. If they become available (absolutely possible, they probably just wanna extend Ed Sheerans pull to the other days as long as possible) they will be expensive though. Last years daily tickets were 119€, with the general increase in prices and a much bigger headline (Ayliva is absolutely huge in Germany) I'd expect them to be up to 150€
  3. Many of the artists that the people here favour, just won't be booked anymore at German, Swiss and Austrian fests (anymore). Its much cheaper to go with the usual german-language bands and some radio-pop acts like Macklemore and at least the German audiences are somewhat ignorant. Hence the large number of solo-shows, albeit many of them will only find their way to Berlin and Vienna
  4. Someone order Sleaford Mods on Wish?
  5. Yeah it just gets very tiring reading the same unfounded criticism over and over again. If there is one thing wrong with this board its that people base their arguments on absolutely absurd expectations and then complain if they aren't fulfilled. Like sure, The Smile and Massive Attack are missing, but are you going to complain about Vampire Weekend, Pulp, The National and Beth Gibbons missing from Northside, who has the former? It is in the nature of festivals that they cannot book everything and if you'd personally liked other acts, go to another fest.
  6. Abstract Concrete Angelica Garcia Ariox Armand Hammer Chica Gang Cranes Daniela Pes Dave P Desire Fat Dog Irreversible Entanglements JJUUJJUU John Francis Flynn Johnny Jewel Les Savy Fav Mabe Fratti Maustetytöt JD Twitch Rozi Plain Sandra Monfort SoFTT Sweeping Promises The Chameleons The Dare The Messthetics & James Brandon Lewis The Mountain Goats TIEMEI Tristan! Xebi SF are exclusively at Ciutat KuTo, Lara91k and Las Petunias don't have website entries yet. There seems to bre a DJ called lara91k, but the other two i can't find anything about. Gives me "Society Fun Lie" Vibes I'll have to reverse my original verdict about this being weak. There is a lot od depth and quality in this. Many of the acts are better placed in clubs than open air stages I reckon. Depending on the programming of each night, I'll give it a go. Chameleons - Abstract Concrete - Cranes would be a great legends evening
  7. Nah, the names gotta be longer Interestingly enough, Bar italia arren‘t in this
  8. This is quite weak as expected. Nothing that‘ll get me moving on Monday. Tuesday maybe the Mountain Goats. Sunday is good, but i won‘t habe the strength for it lol for some reason I read The Chameleons as The Chainsmokers. That makes much more sense and is actually a great addition
  9. While in theory this makes sense, in practice most festivals have to shuffle til last minute before announcing the set times. You are dealing with tour routings of 150+ acts, each with their own stage setting, spread across 12 or so stages. It is simply impossible to put that together three months in advance and again, I know of no festival that does (excluding DJ heavy fests, because stage setups and travel play less of a role here). And before the internet (tm) you got the set times for most fests when you showed up
  10. yeah but afaik they have individual teams for planning each stage, except the main stages. That makes it somewhat easier to put a programm together.
  11. I don't know of any festival that would handle it differently, maximum i've seen was like one month, except at fests that have only one or two stages. At this point, Ciutat can only disappoint. I wouldn't have had any expectations for it, if it were announced anywhere close to the festival, but with more than two months delay, a handful of acts the size of bar italia will just not do the trick.
  12. Might also just be a handful of bands whose tours are not announced yet.
  13. To be fair this is not as bad as the other US fests, but Coachella had much stronger years. Its rather hard for me to judge the rather large impact of Reggaeton and Latin Trap acts, because I have no way of saying anything about their quality but it is simply underwhelming in other aspects. No surprise like Jai Paul last year and No Doubt isn't exactly the Reunion I personally was waiting for. Also, the headliners just are not on the level of 2023, judging by size, even if I personally would prefer Lana and Tyler
  14. He was the second biggest name in the third bracket of acts in 2019. I only expect acts from the lowest bracket to be added, apart from replacements for cancellations
  15. But this is simply not how booking works. Artists don't tick off countries on a tour but put together shows dependent on several factors. And sometimes, countries miss out. Especially the ones like Spain, which are further off the usual London - Paris - Amsterdam - Berlin rotation. If there was an obvious gap, it could indicate a Spanish fest, but if there is none, it might just as well simply mean noc Spanish dates.
  16. Sonar is two weeks later and doesn't fit the dates really.
  17. I don't think there will be any additions of his size on the actual festival weekend.
  18. This is obviously fake. Its simply the 2022 Poster with inverted colours and exchanged names. Even the art installations are the same
  19. The thing about American fests is, that they started to try to encorporate everything that anyone likes into their line ups, so you'll end up with a completely random mix of radio pop, gamer-EDM, Country, Indie-Rock, Rap, Latin, Folk and whatever is on Tik Tok. Hard to bring that together coherently.
  20. I mean, I'm not saying its line ups are bad, they are just extremely random. Its nice that there is a bit of everything and they include new directions every now and then, but they also have so many acts that are utter trash.
  21. Coachella always has absolute bores and frankly horrible acts in the top brackets like Illenium, Louis the Child, The Lumineers, Kid Laroi etc. They are of course bringing a "bigger" line up, but it almost always lacks coherence and often depth
  22. plus Prince and Björk. I'd rather have Lana or Tyler than the usual rotation of Foo Fighters, KOL, Chili Peppers or Muse for the Xth time
