  1. As for the new albums released before the festival, isn't Voxtrot also an option? I couldn't google anything but they started releasing new singles last autumn, so there might be a chance of new album being just around the corner.
  2. My ciutat wishlist: Monday - Apolo 2 (Maustetytöt) Tuesday - La Nau (Voxtrot) Wednesday - Razzmatazz (The National) Sunday - Apolo (The Lemon Twigs + Royel Otis) I'll try to book all of them and maybe cancel Tuesday / Sunday after the main days timetable is released.
  3. I feel the same about Voxtrot and Royel Otis. I have My peace (Voxtrot) and Fried Rice (Royel Otis) on repeat for weeks now. As for Vampire Weekend, it was maybe two days after a line-up release when I realised that I actually love them (when I saw their name on the poster, I had thought that they are fine, but it was just me not being to able to remember how many great songs they have). So, not a grower, but definitely one of the names I'm most excited about. But another example of a grower are Maustetytöt. It looked like a fun little gig in Finnish, but in time, I fell in love in some of their songs and now I really hope that my plane is on time and they'll play at some later time somewhere in El Raval, so I'll have a chance to catch them.
  4. The new album is brilliant, so PS having Vampire Weekend as an EU exclusive just made the line-up even more superior to any 2024 line-up out there. I also like the new L'Imperatrice songs very much, new album is out the week after Primavera. On the other hand, I'm not really excited about the new direction of Charli XCX.
  5. The reservations haven't started yet, I guess at the beginning of May? Last year, there was no problem to get a reservation for almost anything, even a couple of days after the reservations had started (maybe except for Darkside in a very small venue). So just follow their socials and I'm confident you'll be able to get anywhere.* * This statement doen't apply to the mysteroius Wednesday booking yet to be revealed.
  6. The Lemon Twigs - I checked their debut a long time ago and put them into "not interested" category. After the line-up release I gave them a second chance and I really have no idea what was wrong with me back then. Atarashii Gakko! - never heard of them before and after being blown away by Perfume and Kyary Pamyu Pamyu last year, I'm sure this will be a great live show. Royel Otis - love at first sight after Going Kokomo appeared in the line-up teaser. It looks like Saturday isn't going to be so weak after all!
  7. Looking at the last year's clashfinder, more like 7+ hours
  8. https://www.primaverasound.com/en/news/primavera-sound-amplifica-la-explosion-musical-de-su-proxima-edicion-con-la-programacion-de-primavera-a-la-ciutat-de-la-mano-del-santander There will be 47 shows, including a gift for fans that will soon be unveiled.

  10. This is what I've caught: 4 days, 6 venues (two Apolo salas, La Nau, LAUT), 50 concerts The Lemon Twigs, Les Savy Fav, Silica Gel, Dorian Electra, Militarie Gun, Voxtrot, The Mountain Goats, Mandy, Indiana, John Francis Flynn, Water From Your Eyes, Armand Hammer, Desire, El Mató A Un Policia Motorizado, The Comedians, Crumb, Fat Dog, Model / Actriz
  11. It was 2017, my first Primavera - as a first-timer, I was completely overwhelmed by the official programme (so many choices/stages), unique venue and the semi-secret sets, that I unfortunately completely missed this token thing (IIRC, also Local Natives had one of these private sets).
  12. I don't want to make any point by this, just one more example: There's a Slovak festival (Grape, 2 days, 6 stages, attendance about 20k) and at the same time they announce the artist, they put also their stage and time into the timetable. Of course there are some changes before the festival takes place but they are really minor and basically you can count on the original stage/time info. https://www.grapefestival.sk/en/timeline
  13. I’m aware of that, they are on very high on my must-see list for Saturday.
  14. Beach House 2018 - magical Janelle Monáe 2019 - epic L'Imperatrice 2022 - absolute perfection Blur 2023 - a dream come true Kyara Pamyu Pamyu 2023 - insane
  15. Ciutat line-up late january (confirmed by Gabi on the official forum).
  16. So we're back to the pre-covid model? Only few concerts at Apollo on Monday, Tuesday and Sunday and that's it? But why would they wait for so long to announce 15 gigs? I don't mind waiting for the ciutat names til january but I really hope the ciutat part of the festival won't go back to 2019 sizewise.
  17. I'd rather see The National for the the tenth time than Liam Gallagher for the first time, same as I'd prefer watching any of my favourite movies again to watching some crappy movie I've never seen before. They are a great live band with an exceptional back catalogue. Given their relationship with the festival and TWO new albums out this year, I would have been offended if they hadn't been booked for 2024. As for the more commercial names, I'm quite open-minded aboutl what is a good Primavera bookkng. I gave a solid listen to Maneskin (but haven't found anything good) and can't say I suffered during Calvin Harris set. However, both of these bookings felt very out of place for Primavera. On the other hand, bring me The Killers and Kylie Minoque for 2025!
  18. Last Primavera, it was pretty straightforward: best line-up => least people (Thursday) worst line-up => most people (Saturday) It seems that it might be the case also in 2024, since my personal worst day (Friday) is the only one that is almost sold out at the moment. However, I still think that the worst day of 2024 (Friday) is better than the worst day of 2023 (Saturday). And also that the best day of 2024 (Thursday) is slightly worse than the best day of 2023 (Thursday).
  19. You mean Tuesday May 28th which is six days before their Valencia gig?
  20. The Interrupters having a Sunday ciutat set, perhaps?
  21. L'Imperatrice - best party of PS 2022. Being familiar with the songs has some added value, but I don't think it's necessary for enjoying their set.
  22. If I had to choose for each main day one smallest-font name I hadn't known a month ago and I'd like to see now, I'd say: Thursday - Voxtrot Friday - Silica Gel Saturday - Merina Gris This selection is very preliminary, there's still a lot of new music to discover.
  23. Suddenly the line-up teasing radio shows don't seem so terrible.
  24. I think he never was. IIRC, they just said something like he had only 10 shows in his carreer or that this will be his tenth concert in history or something like that - so yeah, "exclusivity" was definitely implied, but not in the sense that he's not going to be anywhere else (but still, I don't think there will be many chances to see him next year).
