I can see all the reasons for Styles to play - massive name, playing Wembley, headlining Coachella, etc, all that and I don't doubt or deny he's a big get for the festival...

But purely on a personal level it would be so depressing and crushingly underwhelming if/when he's announced, especially when we could have had Macca.

Yeah I really want(ed??) Macca, I feel like he is an act I'm destined never to see!

Did I? That was generous! Must've had a few.

Ill downgrade that now to the Avalon.

This is abysmal.

Love this tune.

The Strokes have more tunes than AM for me. The Modern Age, You Only Live Once, Reptilia, Someday, New York City Cops, Taken For A Fool, Under Cover Of Darkness, 12:51, Juicebox,...

Their last album was more cracking than AM's last effort too.

My last album was better that AM's last effort lol.

That aside, I don't think The Strokes song it too bad.

Aye. He's a particularly massive kick in the bollocks as a Macca replacement. I'm sure the festival won't see it as a "replacement" in the same sense we would, but I can't imagine much crossover between those stoked for Macca and fans of Harry Styles.

Macca was the only headliner I was really excited about, we’ll see Billie as my daughters and wife are really into her.
If Harry replaces anyone I would hope it would be Kendrick, who none of our group are interested in (most haven’t even heard of him).
Regardless, we’ll be there for Harry and I think it will be an amazing headline set.

Kendrick will be one for the ages though, if he's there.

I know people on here seem to love him but, for me, I wouldn’t have the slightest interest in seeing him. Harry, I’d be excited to see. Seems like a lot of people discount him immediately based on X Factor and 1D or are snidey about his younger audience…I just like his music.

Just hope he doesn’t clash with Little Symz.

    • When it comes to legacy alternative acts I hope they bring the Afghan Whigs. Those newly released songs are incredible and classic Whigs sound
    • We’ve a friend  who has hens and sells eggs for two quid for six. So much tastier than supermarket ones. She has an honesty box outside her house and has now expanded into selling them to hotels and the local butchers shop. Quite a decent wee business
    • Curiously a rumour has turned up that Barcelona are now interested in Rodri. So could make Real Madrid and Man City are suddenly both in need of a central midfielder.    ... Assuming this move to Arsenal for Bruno Guimaraes ends up being processed before those two may need to enter the conversation.
    • I think Thunderbolts probably had one of the more interesting villains for an MCU movie. I was actually a bit creeped out by Void. I'm a massive horror movie fan, and I can't think of another time in the last couple of years where a character legit scared me like he did.    Brand New Day was a good time. A great villain choice as it played into Parker's insecurities. Castle was a strange inclusion but the dynamic between him and Parker was great. Castle must have been delighted to have someone who never seen themselves as superior to him like Murdoch pretty much always did.
    • Certainly the fact Bruce had disasters at West Brom and Blackpool has hurt his chances. Maybe he'll go mentor his son now he's a manager at Rotherham.    Maybe the passive aggressive comment about Howe being "that fella who got Bournemouth relegated" also counts as it's own comment that aged very poorly.
