To be fair I’ve not had much inclination to seek out Dojee Cat or Bojack Thy Horseman. I’m pretty sure they’re not meant for me and I’m fine with that.

Know about them might come in handy at work one day with bright eyed new starters.

Could we potentially see Harry styles on the other Saturday? Would very much explain the mix up in wording from the articles and actually could work very well in being a big draw for younger attendees away from Macca.

Leaves room for 2023 to be Taylor AM Dua and then HS gets a 2024 pyramid headline…

food for thought or fuel for a fire?

Nah, he’s far too big for that. There’s a chance he could headline the whole thing in a couple of years time, but the likelihood is that those articles were just speculative and nothing more.

Olivia Rodrigo’s Spotify numbers are also huge, and I’ve actually heard of her and quite like her. Is she playing? Don’t remember much talk on here

Her dates make her a distinct possibility.

Yeah exactly. This was my initial thinking at the start of 2022 speculation, until we got the QOTSA info at which point I assumed he was out. But now I’ve come around to him doing Saturday night.

Strong set of headliners there. When your second stage has headliners that would seem big for a festival like Isle of Wight, you know you’re doing something right.

    • 13th Primavera (Thursday was definitely making me feel like this was the cursed year).  Blood Orange was such a party by the end of their set but we all knew that rain storm was approaching.  So gutted Massive Attack didn't play after the false hope of a new rescheduling, especially knowing that Elizabeth Fraser & Horace Andy were backstage with them!  Managed a bit of Melt Banana but was just so over the weather by that point.   Friday was awesome, Rilo Kiley were so much fun.  Never been the biggest Cure fan but made the effort for them after Thursday & Robert Smith sounds like he did back in the 80s.  PinkPantheress & Viagra Boys were also great.   The highlight for me was Sudan Archives on the Saturday, she was stunning & with the Olivia Rodrigo surprise set too it made up for the Thursday sh*t show.  Dijon & Knocked Loose also superb.   Shoutout to Cardiacs on the Tuesday too, they were so LOUD, played a storming set.
    • OK, never mind, I'll take normal Nine Inch Nails.
    • Probably my least favourite of the five editions I've been to, but still plenty good enough for me to go again. Weirdly, I was just totally running out of stamina a lot earlier into the night than I remember happening in the past. I feel like I missed a lot of the weirder sets on the smaller stages as I was just totally cooked. Not Primavera's fault, obviously. Maybe I'm just getting old - or maybe I need to pace my drinking better...   Anyway - is David Byrne a realistic get for next year? Certainly hoping so.
    • watching clips of the cure in Barcelona, wow 2 hours 25 minute set. That's gonna be tough on the Sunday but can't bloody wait for it
