  1. No no its the millions of alt accounts being created clogging up the server
  2. The crisp world cup thread is the real loser here
  3. Self confirmed on one of their socials (twitter?) EDIT: https://twitter.com/CamelPhat/status/1524343975242612736?s=20&t=CpHnlCYcgV-aYC_Wzx9QLw
  4. I’m rewatching Fender’s reading set from 2021 and it would be absolutely criminal not to put this man on the pyramid one evening. Such a party
  5. None of them are working on Chrome for me. I have to use....edge... :,(
  6. This is my purpose in life. It's hard to get everyone excited in this weird limbo point...The penny hasn't dropped for them that we're going to Glasto and just how exciting that is
  7. My first ever festival - was 17 and with a big group of 'mates' (yanno the type from school you'd hang out with but not actually really get on with and haven't seen or heard from since you left). My buddy Dan and I had found a mutual amusement for moshing and just generally being an idiot. Cue Kasabian. First proper headline set. Well out of our depth in the pits and it opens up in front of us to reveal one foolish soul trying to pump everyone up. He was topless, drenched in sweat, swearing at everyone practically frothing from the mouth. Then the chorus of Fire kicks in and BAM. Spear tackled. Not once. Twice. At the same time. One got the legs the other got his torso and he cartwheeled well enough to get to the olympics. We still talk about it to this day and it is the funniest shit I've ever seen and completely hooked me on festivals.
  8. Yeah I'm in agreement with you on this. RHCP and Green Day don't tour as much as Foos because they don't have to and don't want to. Foos do/have done because they love going round the globe year on year. If @Matt42 is arguing that they're not the type of booking Glasto are likely to make I think that's totally baseless. Not every headline set is meant to be a 'leg-up'
  9. How are Green Day and RHCP any different to Foos and Killers who are often at the farm?
  10. 100% he’s in the bin the knobber
  11. They were awesome with Tom and just as awesome without in my opinion! Serge may not have as much of an anthemic voice but he brings so much more energy as a front man it makes up for it. Would happily take a set from them anyday!

    Foals

True you're right they don't do it very frequently, got myself confused as when I saw them at Truck they played Olympic Airways, RSP, Hummer and Two Steps so felt like a lot of Antidotes for a set. They have such a range of songs that sound mega live it wouldn't really make much difference to a set if they were missed off. Expecting a big friday night!

    Foals

Surely they play RSP and Cassius at Glasto....
  14. Oh sounds good! Nothing like hearing other people's experience and excitement to get you buzzing for an event!
  15. It's my friends first ever festival! All of ours first glasto. Praying for good weather for him (and the rest of us). He's never had a good camping experience - I distinctly remember all of our DofE camping weekends being horrendously wet and his tent leaking. Also we did camping for a week on NCS and again it chucked it down and he was pretty unhappy about it. I love a festival and camping no matter the weather and have done since I was a kid. Seeing the thread of people who didn't enjoy glasto has got me a tad concerned I'll have a similar story after June...
  16. The fact that Glasto has the ability to pull in the likes of Foals, Killers etc. for a secret set is just nuts to me as a first timer. I'd sell my soul for it to be AM but I think if it were between them and The 1975 the latter would be more likely. I think both bands are in a similar position of needing to kickstart their UK popularity again (IK AM are and always will be massively popular but they've somewhat sunk into the shadows). Whichever one does it headlines in 2023 imo.
  17. If it's true...how do I ensure I'm front bloody row?
  18. I heard that you can arrive at the car parks from Tuesday evening? I'm driving from Kent so this would be ideal to get an early spot in the queue Wednesday. Has anybody done this and could say whether or not it's worth the kip in the car? Makes minimal odds imo if i'd have to be up at the buttcrack of dawn to get to the farm by 8am.
  19. Always appreciate your input! Sometimes it rubs people up the wrong way but we all need someone to have a poke at every now and then. Struggle to find someone more in the know with goings on in the festival rumour world.
  20. I agree, especially with a new album on it's way and some very good sets (Reading 21, KT Forum etc) in the bank since last festival season
  21. Ah nice that'd be cool! Few acts have gotten me quite as sweaty as they have
  22. I can vaguely remember seeing them playing somewhere, maybe BBC introducing? Still tho, evolved in popularity since 2019
  23. Could we see Sports Team (a shoe in to play imo) or the Snuts for WG on Thursday?
  24. Exactly the same line of thought as 'You'll see who's playing when the poster drops'. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot...
