Never seen that before it was beautiful

My favourite by far of all the legends slots I have seen. The Kinks Bassist Pete Quaife had died that week as well so the voice cracking at the start of the song was genuine emotion. Sadly because of the football he probably had one of the smallest crowds as well.

I'd hoped the last couple of years 2017 and 19 he would appear always tipped but never happened

Yes I hoped he might be there this year especially as him and Dave are on speaking terms again (or at least were a little while ago)

Nile and chic now on bbc 4, one of the most enjoyable sets I have seen in my 10 festivals . Sun didn’t hurt it either

Chic were for my mind the legend slot that year no offence to Barry but they absolutely smashed it!!

Sad for him, good for me.

I get the feeling that in the time between the 2013? West holts set and this pyramid one they might have spent a bit of money upgrading some of the band members. Def seems a more polished show these days

perhaps just the singers actually

more maybe they have just tightened up from playing so much

Is Amy Winehouse the only act to play under their own steam on the Pyramid two years running?

(i.e. discounting things like guest slots appearances and different entities eg Damon Albarn)

    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
    • Blink-182 / Avril Lavigne / Good Charlotte / Neck Deep    Lamb of God / Malevolence      System Of A Down / Five Finger Death Punch / Skindred / Godsmack   Motionless In White / Poppy      Deftones / Gojira / Knocked Loose / President    Sabaton / Amon Amarth
    • This Isaac wood news has dropped right out of left field. Great to hear he feels up to doing live stuff again    what will he play? Solo stuff , old BCNR stuff?    It’s only in November , it’s a bold booking to for someone who has previously had some struggles to come back and play a load of new stuff to crowds that big
    • Wow, Blink-182 back so soon. They’re the band they’ve never booked then. Great booking if they’ve got them.    Deftones, Papa Roach, Knocked Loose   Lamb of God   Blink-182, Avril Lavigne, Good Charlotte   Megadeth   Slipknot, Gojira, Motionless In White   All Time Low
