parsonjack
Official word from festival website asking for people to not visit the site now that restrictions on movement have been eased. We had a drive past on Saturday (with no intent to stop) and there were several cars up at Mary's Gate and a number of groups on Muddy Lane. @deebeedoobeewho lives in the village suggested that Sunday was then 'like a carpark' in the same spot. https://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/please-do-not-visit-worthy-farm/

deebeedoobee
They should have put the pier up and sold ice creams on Sunday there were that many people there.

dotdash79
Totally understand we have to protect Michael at all cost. Also it is private land.
Ayrshire Chris
Much as I would love to drive hundreds of miles just to visit the sacred ground I think that in the current circumstances this is very sensible advice. It will still be there long after this virus is under control or gone. Meanwhile I will make do with the great memories, the webcam, you tube clips, all my recorded bbc coverage and piles of photos. Though it will be up to the locals such as @deebeedoobee to keep us up to date on what’s going on down on the farm!😁.

terryaanderson
On my final walk round today with my little girl, seen that the wooden structure in Greenpeace has had loads of the internal glass smashed and some of the pieces of wood ripped off. Also took her to the Kidz Field castle and found little drugs bags in there. Morons

The usual policy is that it's okay to visit if you respect the land and farms. Clearly this is not the time for the usual policy, but some people need to be told. If I were GFL, I'd be getting signs made up to ask people to please sod off.

Hugh Jass
I’m telling youse, the shotgun based solution is the best.... (and I don’t mean blaring George Ezra out of a large speaker - although that would also work) 2
