Oh the horror. The Tory party leadership clearly are the Hydra of the modern world!!

At this stage ANYTHING'S possible and NOTHING will surprise me any more. When I watched Doctor Who on New Year's Day it was looking more like a factual documentary. The Thick Of It certainly doesn't feel as farcical as it once did!! In fact I'm calling it satire died of COVID 19!!

He's the one who is really big mates with Cummings - so prob get him back too!

Hopefully the chance of that would be the thing that actually stops scrotum face being chosen. An awful lot of the Tory backbenchers seem to hate Cummings almost as much as the rest of us mere mortals.

I'd probably prefer a sack filled with excrement TBF.

I suppose Gove might actually try and do the job properly. I thunk unlike Johnson he actually has a genuine interest in politics.

Is he a eugenicist though?

Should ME start shovelling up cowpats to run in the next general election.

No no you have to hilariously call him "Keith" if you're part of that crowd.

I'll be honest, I still don't really get that whole calling him Keith joke.

(Fun fact: my ex wife is now married to a man called Keith. When I told my best mate that he pissed himself laughing and replied 'that's exactly what she deserves'.)

Could be an interesting poll. Glasto 2021 is on but the Spice Girls are headlining the Saturday night pyramid slot.

Would you still go?

Absolutely. I always miss the Saturday headliner anyway because I always have a shift then

I may not agree with Rory Stewart on everything, but he's at least a recognisably sane and fairly intelligent human being. Unfortunately in the modern Tory party that makes him an absolute non starter.

Out of upvotes for today but that last bit made me genuinely giggle. Excellent form.

    • Muse new album out soon , European tour announcement for Nov and Dec, no Spanish date and north American tour starts in July and in North America for all of July and August. So primavera and Glastonbury
    • Well he is on a rape charge, don't see that one as controversial.    Although Hakimi is in Morocco squad.
    • Electric Callboy just said they'll be touring here next year. I'm not sure there's a poster for it though. I'll look when I'm near some next.      He said we'll see you at Download at a gig before any of the band. Presumably he was trolling. They're in Austria at the moment and Germany tomorrow with a week's break and more shows in Germany. Whilst not impossible to come back here and then go over there again, it seems unlikely.
    • Thomas Partey, knocked back by Canadian immigration now.
    • I'm sure someone can update you on the clashfinder, and it will be pretty accurate by the time the festival comes around. It's a large flat-ish arena with main stage in the open air, no best side I'd say. Leadmill (3rd stage medium tent) is at the back of the main arena, T'Other (2nd stage big tent) 5 min walk round the corner. At full capacity walking around can take a bit more time though. I noticed that The Enemy are scheduled to not fully overlap with Wolf Alice, so you could catch part of their set too.   You can walk around anywhere with a beer, with most bars the usual mass market stuff, but one nice craft ale tent, back of the arena near the Leadmill stage. A main meal will set you back £10-15, but cheaper snacks also available. Expect a pint to be £7-8. Possibly a bit more this year as prices everywhere are increasing.   It's fairly easy to get to from the town centre using the tram, although can be busy at peak times / very busy at curfew. If you like a walk, it's approx 40 mins to Kelham Island (lots of indy venues) and probably an hour to the city, or catch an Uber. There will be loads of 'fringe' music events on around the city right through the weekend. Most are free. Have a wonderful trip, enjoy the festival, and your stay in our city!
