crazyfool1...I'm not sure but are you vulnerable to this virus? Can you not get paid leave until lockdown measures bring the numbers down (or you get a vaccine)?

Vulnerable but not extremely vulnerable ... I have a weeks leave left ... no chance of getting leave this week ... tomoro to get through ... then hopefully we get lockdown

In better news...my grandma has recieved a letter saying she's likely to he offered the vaccine soon and shes definitely going to be taking it up, my grandad suddenly died last week (non-Covid related) so she's determined to take it up and live her life fully now

I’m sorry to hear that 😔 I hope you are all ok.

At least some are trying to help the stranded lorry drivers .... FUCK THE TORIES

My parents next door neighbours are involved in this group in Coventry - as someone who has eaten the neighbours food a number of times. These lorry drivers won't want to go home afterwards. Its amazing.

Sorry to hear that.

A bit of good news that your grandma will be getting it though!

The numbers today are pretty harrowing, stay safe guys.

If I can add any shred of positivity to this it would be that testing figures have been well in excess of 400k for the last 3 days running now, and not below 300k in a week.

So sorry for your loss.  Sending virtual hugs to you and your grandma. This has been a bastard of a year for so many people 😢

    • I saw this just after it was posted yesterday, I barely paid attention to it. I didn't realise it had blown up in the way it has. I'm sure (kind of) that Sziget will be unaffected - it brings in billions of huf over a very short period. Its consumption, compared to the rest of Budapest, will be tiny in reality. That said, nothing wrong with encouraging people to use less energy whether it's now or in the future.
    • The eulogies are flooding in.   The list I've seen so far is Jenrick,  Hartley-Brewer, Hopkins, Lowe, Pearson   Tells you all you need to know about him...
