What kind of amateur would believe they've released the specific stage times in February. Nerds.

Looks good but clearly done by someone who doesn't follow these things closely. Capaldi ain't on the Other and Billie isn't playing 3rd down on any stage. I'd be stunned to see Florence take that slot as well.

Edit: glasto chat are nerds, not you lot (well, for the most part 😉)

How dare you! We're miles nerdier than that bunch of amateurs.

Elbow playing at 13:45

Florence on the Other Stage

Elbow would be no higher that that nowadays and Florence only headlined pyramid as a fill-in. Neither are unrealistic.

The real problem is DMA's being spelled with an apostrophe. That's what makes it amateur.

actually, there's probably spreadsheets just like that in existence. A decade or so ago one of them did get loose in the wild and ended up here and I was able to to get someone to confirm it was genuine.

(wrong, but genuine. It was a work-in-progress bookings document, so included acts they hoped to get rather than only the acts they'd booked).

er, no.

Elbow still do big gigs on par with most Pyramid subs/Other headliners, which was their previous slot, and as Friends Of The Festival, probably still is. They're multiples bigger than acts that play early on the Pyramid.

FATM were a strong sub, and there were lots of calls for them to be headlining outright. Of course they're not going to be doing the Other Stage. Them playing anywhere other than the Pyramid is ludicrous.

another silly thing I noticed, QOTSA get 45mins, everyone else on the Other, including Jade Bird opening it, get at least an hour

Elbow - at their peak when they were on the radio every 5 minutes they subbed and you find it hard to believe they'd be lower down?

Florence - You seem to think that headlining Other Stage is worse than subbing main stage. I'd argue they're equivelant in stature (and that Florence deserves neither, but that's a different argument).

no, they may be lower by a place or even 2. They're not 13:45 on the Pyramid level. Stop being ridiculous.

Headlining the Other is worse than subbing the Pyramid. Look at some of the stuff that has headlined the Other that wouldn't have a hope of subbing the Pyramid. Florence is big, mainstream, singalong hits, 100% won't be on the Other any time soon.

Third from bottom? Of course they would play higher than that. Even if their song isn’t everywhere anymore, they’re still a huge ticket/album seller.

I’ve seen a few people hear say the same about Elbow. The truth though is that they consistently sell out arenas unlike, say, Nick Cave - who seems to be struggling to sell out his tour, yet people think he should be in line for a push up to headline the Pyramid

That's a whole lot of indie music and even though i love indie rock this is too much. Would adore that as a real lineup though

    • Possibly not as there are chair size restrictions in the seated area, for the guidelines see here -  https://www.bbc.co.uk/backstage/radio2inthepark/bring   Have a look into applying for Access and I would recommend contacting them for further advice before buying a ticket - https://www.bbc.co.uk/backstage/radio2inthepark/access  They should also be able to answer if you can take a wheelchair into the seated area 🙂
