Do headliners have any influence over who their subs are?

TaySwift is mates with Haim, Ed Sheeran, Snow Patrol, probably loads more so just wondering if she was a headliner would she get any say in who the sub was?

The Who had Paul Weller sub didn't they? Don't think that's a particularly common occurrence though.

they can do - although it's probably the more-anal acts who try to get involved in that sort of thing.

I believe it's the case they're told who is likely to play before them, and most accept what the event is trying to put together.

I reckon it's hugely likely that Weller was booked and allocated a slot long before The Who were approached.

They might have swapped some stuff around so that Weller played before them.

I can imagine in extreme circumstances were it could be a deal breaker they'd get a say. Swift will be doing it regardless.

I think Dental said they were set to (or rumoured to?) announce the Brian Johnson comeback and US dates. Nothing specifically about Glastonbury.

then again, it seems no-one actually knows what the "muddy field" comment actually was, as multiple people have given different versions of the wording, from the same gig, so as usual on eFests, we're into the realms of chinese whispers that have evolved into FM saying that they're playing in a muddy field next year.

Anyone else think foals jump from headlining Truck/Y Not to glasto in a year is a bit much?

i love foals and have smashed it at every gig of theirs I’ve seen but I don’t think they’re quite ready to headline
