This will interest a few of you I'm sure. I'm gonna make an effort to give them a proper listen before this tour.

Only just saw them at Liverpool but might well go to this Manchester show too as they were ace.

Yeah they were really good in Bristol the other night so I'll be getting tickets for this. Assuming the Tramshed date is Cardiff?

They had an argument over which cutie they were gonna pull.

No no, the friend is a cutie that I was trying to pull. Didn't work out

I nearly snogged a cute lass at The  XX performance on Saturday. Came really close but then her friend interrupted. Got her number though and turns out she works for MoD! Fun times

All the gigs make sense now.

How big are snow patrol now if Glastonbury did book them

2nd or 3rd down the Pyramid I'd guess. That's a good sized tour. But idk, the likes of Manics go on arena tours and get relatively low slots so it's hard to judge.

Be interesting to see how they sell with it been a while since the last album. Before that there were headlining smaller festivals and the tour is very similar to the venues that Florence is

They’re doing an arena tour in the winter so it wouldn’t be beyond the realms of possibility.

Glasto wouldn’t throw them a bone back when they had that song off all the Children in Need adverts. They had The Kooks sub, with that song off Jackie Big Tits.

Remember seeing them on Other in the mid 00’s one year.

In 2004 when they first had mainstream success. Haven't been booked in the years since as they've gotten bigger and I don't see it happening now either.

History will be the judge of Jackie Big Tits.

There’s still time...

Maggie Rogers playing Koko, London on 29/30th August

Logic playing Ally Pally, London on 10th September

Rex Orange County playing Hammersmith Apollo, London on 5th October

Maggie Rogers was a highlight of last years fest for me. She seemed so excited and happy to be there, it was infectious.

    • What is too old for Leeds Fest now ?  I'm going to the Fontaines Saturday in a few weeks at 54 !!!  I may be the oldest there 🙂    Wythenshawe may be an option for WA.
    • Pretty much all festivals lose out on major artists because of production limitations though. Glastonbury is no different to most other festivals.  Lots of acts can/will adapt their tour production to suit festival stages if they want to play them, but some acts with stage designs and routines just don't want to adapt, and would rather just stick with a rigid, well-rehearsed production and take the money for their own gigs, whether that's a lot more than playing Glastonbury, or slightly less than playing some other festivals (but with added complications). Trying to adapt the stage, layout, access to b-stages etc to accommodate a single headliner on a Friday and then having to change it all around for a Saturday headliner isn't really a goer when most headliners can just easily adapt their show to stay on a main stage, if they're so inclined. They have a year to figure out how to perform a song on a main stage and ditch a few dance routines out on a b-stage if they really put their mind to it. It's not that difficult......
    • I would be all over Wolf Alice but may have outgrown this venue.    Also have to consider the schedule they have been on this year so may be on a break.  This last 10 days alone they did Tramlines, New York, Chicago and Kendal Calling.  Although make hay while the sun shines may come into play.
