Probably going to be a radiohead tune but I quite like

London grammar or even the blossoms lol.. I'll have to say which songs later cos the wife is watching Grimm..

So what do you reckon will be this year's Glastonbury tune

The one song that would give me goose bumps to hear live would be Fake Plastic Trees. However, I like the X Factor, so maybe my view shouldn't be factored in as a real competitor. Or even a real view, for that matter. In fact ( look in to my eyes, in to my eyes, not around my eyes, into my eyes) forget you ever read this. lol

Another here for Creep for being "The" Glasto song/anthem. It's not in my top 5 of theirs but it is absolutely iconic and such a great piece of music. So simple, great melody, then that massive guitar break in the chorus. Really hope they play it in the encore.

Really hoping to hear Violent Noise by The XX. That tune has the potential to be quite iconic too I think. Hope it comes across as well live as it does off the record in good earphones!

Also, Walk by The Foo's will be pretty damn special!

Above all though, Galway Girl by Ed will be the one Glasto 2017 'moment' that we'll all look back o......sorry, only joking, it's tripe.

This is what I want to know, I'm assuming people are talking about the BBC song as this is the only one that's universal to all, as in we'll all presumably hear it?

In which definitely bound to be one of Radiohead's wraithlike laments of despair and alienation.

    • If the below link works - thats interesting.   While I don't particularly put much stock in that account as a source (never seen it before though, tbf), and I can pick a hole or two (see below) in what he says - the timing of it is a week before I had the Fontaines '27 stadium info (same stadium he says on there, Tottenham). The info, or part of it, matches up.   Holes I'd pick: I'd have to watch again but I THINK he says 'end of year' for Tottenham - not possible, for a number of reasons, though he's probably just got his words mixed up there. It's Summer '27. He also says Glastonbury is/would be based on how the album does. That doesn't stack up to me, unless it was a 2028 thing. I suppose that could stack up, but still seems a bit of an odd approach. I would personally still expect it to be 2027 alongside the stadium gigs, IF they are gonna do it, though I've still not got a Scooby when the album is gonna drop, only that the tour is due for Spring (or early) next year.   Interesting, nonetheless.   https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaOB3Q9qkwW/
    • I was hoping that they would just do a tour like they were set to in 2020, rather than having Download as their UK appearance. If they are at DL, I would be surprised to see them headline. I think they sub under Deftones or SOAD
    • well, we might know by the end of next month if they drop the lineup early again
    • I'm definitely not camping 🙂.  My 17 year old Daughter and her friends are there 3 days and commuting back to Sheffield each day as didn't want to camp .  I am taking and picking up the Saturday so thought I may as well get a ticket as love Fontaines DC - need to do a lot of research on the other acts though to fill my day.    I walked through the camp site other year the day Arctic Monkeys played and it was like a War Zone.  My Son has camped a couple of times but didn't fancy my Daughter staying over.
