Seems to work really well live. yep set of the weekend easily, at least until Kendrick happens. fell away a tiny bit when he started playing older stuff at the end but the first eight songs were staggering. 3 hours ago, kalifire said: Gaga is about two years past her prime for headliner status. Unless she does anything else noteworthy, her window has gone. this new song she's put out today is bland enough to be a big hit, the worst thing she's ever done, but if it returns her to her former status it's a sacrifice I'm willing to make. Overall didn't think her set was quite as good as it could've been. The staging was fairly subdued by her standards, and that moment when she kicked and swore at her dancer made me uncomfortable. Also - apart from John Wayne - she ignored the best songs from the new album, and of what little she did play from it that remix of Million Reasons was total gash. Venus and Teeth were welcome surprises though, didn't think she'd ever play those live again. Edited April 16, 2017 by Zac Quinn
she bangs the drums
Just watched Lady Gaga steam at Coachella. Great performance, I would take her over any of this years headliners on the Pyramid. Seen Radiohead three times including on the Park Stage which was pretty boring unless you were a fanboy but understand they mean a lot to people on here! It was as if the vocals did not fit the music if that makes sense. It was as if the vocal in the main element and they worked round that. Now that is fair enough but it is not really what I am into. Tell me what I should listen to tomorrow and I will give it ago. To pimp a butterfly needs to be listened in order but if your going to cherry pick off it I'd go with King Kunta, I, Alright, These Walls and How Much a Dollar Cost. Off GKMC I love Money Trees, Maad City and Swimming Pools Check out his section 80 album as well, some really good stuff on there, my favorites being no makeup and rigamortis Edited April 16, 2017 by swede
uscore
I thought Gaga looked very good too. But still prefer Radiohead to her. She could replace Sheeran tho.
Funkyfairy!
I wish I could get into radio head, watched their set and moments of brilliance and moments of dullness, but it seems if you are 'into them' then you truely get it and feel it ... I need to work harder on listening to the and maybe they'll click i thought Gaga was surprisingly good, had no preconceptions and she seemed good, I'd like to see her for sure Off to see what's on now :-)

Mash011
Ezra's brilliant as ever yeah, that tiny crowd watching him is another reminder of how much Coachella can piss off though.
Madyaker
They sound good but jesus that crowd is tiny. The stage times at this festival make no sense. It's baking hot in the middle of the day so acts that are on early are bound to get small crowds because it's too hot to stand out in the sun for an hour and a half. They should start later and finish later. Everything finishing up after midnight is a bit crap. Why don't they have any late night dance areas? JacquelineS
You have to remember Coachella has these huge (and expensive) VIP tents so lots of people will be in these during the day especially, as they are air conditioned, have their own bar and have real toilets. The peeps out in the sun are your Hoi Poloi so to speak. BTW I have to say I am really enjoying these younger bands like Carseat Headrest, Ezra and Whitney. danielharris627
Watching Hans Zimmer at the moment as my friend is on guitar in his band, very surreal to see. This would be incredible to see at Glastonbury, huge shame they aren't playing.
Mash011
Hanz was mad yeah, actually pretty heavy! Would like to see that. Watching Lorde now who is actually surprisingly great. Don't know the songs but she's a great performer clearly. Also love that stage production she got with her, choreography and little scenes happening in a transparent box suspended above her, really cool. Might make a clash for me come June. Mash011
Remember when people defended Kanye's Glastonbury show? Yeah, this is how it's fuckin done.

Well Kendrick's already dropped a lot of To Pimp a Butterfly sadly, just as Kanye seemed to drop a lot of 'Old Kanye'. But yeah, Kanye was disappointing. jparx
I don't care what y'all say - Glastonbury have dropped a bollock not booking Kung Fu Kenny to headline this year. That set was immense and honestly put Kanye's shitshow to shame. Kendrick is the most relevant artist in music today and should be headlining this year because of that - fuck record/ticket sales or plays on Radio 1. In 2/3 years time it will have lost some of that relevance - the time to strike was this year but they played it safe. So what if he would draw a smaller crowd than most headliners? This guy is on the cutting edge and WILL become a superstar sooner than later. They've missed the boat big time.
CaledonianGonzo
Maybe they asked and he said no.
CaledonianGonzo
nb Though I do think it more likely that this year's headliners were arranged 2 / 2+ years back.
