In 2015 the charlatans were a (poorly kept) secret. But weren't James already announced as being there anyway? Doesn't really have to be a surprise on the day does it so could be someone already announced on the poster. Given it's been a pseudo 'indie legends' slot I'll go for Ride.

I'd love it to be Ride so i could see them again (not seen them since 1989) as I suspect they will be high up on the park stage causing some clashing issues. Unless it's the otherwise dreadful Sunday?

Don't see them as openers though.  That would be weird!

We knew weeks in advance though didn't we? I think ! Charlatans only confirmed the night before. 

Id be shocked if it's elbow. They've played high up the Pyramid previously so I can't see them opening other.

Pure and Life of Riley are great songs. There's a couple of decent tunes on Jollification, but I kind of lost interest in them after that. Didn't they play quite high up the Pyramid one year?

Lightening seeds have easily (and maybe surprisingly) got an hour of hits. Saw them at Godiva a couple of years ago. I was tired but it was emotional.

I saw them supporting Suggs and the lads back in December and it was....fine.  In his younger years my man did have a way with a Macca-esque pop tune.  The aforementioned Pure, Lucky You and so on.

Ashcroft has a lot more hits and singalong anthems than some of the previous acts in that slot, so for that reason alone I think he'd be good if it was him.

Probably nothing in this, but read an interview with them recently saying they were playing half a dozen festivals this summer. So far, by my count, they have only been announced for five.

If it is either of those, I'll be stupidly ecstatic. I was listening to Moseley Shoals on the way back from work today, thinking I'd LOVE to see them at Glasto. Can't see it unfortunately.
