  1. I saw Andrew O'Neil (never heard of them before) in there during Elton and it was almost empty. So empty, in fact, that Andrew got all the audience members up on stage and sat us down and then performed to us on the stage. It made it a really special moment for the few of us that were there.
  2. I saw this guy a few years ago in the same slot and actually loved it. Partly for the absurdity and love of finding something as bizarre as that at the festival. But I think any more than 20 minutes of it is unnecessary as it's ultimately the same joke.
  3. Best: The one bite i had of my friend's coconut indonesian curry – wowza. Surprisinfly, the cheese toastie I had from Archie's in Shangri-la – may have just been the situation but boy did that hit well. Nashville's beef brisket hash, my word what a dish. Worst: Chicken tenders from some pretty vacant chicken place I think on the stretch between the pyramid and theatre/circus fields. Thai green curry from a similar area.
  4. The app was a total fail for me. By Thursday it had lost everything I spent ages curating so I had no record of what I wanted to see. First and last time I don't just use Clashfinder! Also, the map was close to unusable sometimes. Hopefully they learn some lessons and spend some time updating it for next year.
  5. As a die-hard Manics fan I was pleasantly surprised by them. I've accepted they're not quite what they used to be, but thought it was a great show this time around. I was quite happy with the setlist as love to see The Holy Bible get some love. Although The Anchoress's take of This Is Yesterday was a bit naff live.
  6. Bang on. So many acts on the Cabaret were visibly put off by stuff pumping into the tent from outside. Similarly, I bailed on Max Richter because – unless you were down the front – the Stonebridge Bar was ruining the experience.
  7. Come on then, drop your lists here. For me (in no order): The War On Druga The Hives Ezra Collective (Shangri-La set) Controversially, I didn't see Elton, so I'm not suggesting anything beat that.
  8. Fully clicked on this expecting it to be a survey. Must have been heartbreaking to lose your dad, I am so sorry. We'll give Dave some love 🙂
  9. On a 1.30am coach wednesday morning, so assuming I'll get to the festival before gates open and join the queue. Aiming for Paines Ground. A nice mix for me of having a bit of life but also can get some sleep.
  10. Definitely thought 'crisps' was a codeword. Until I saw someone say the festival had official 'crisps'.
  11. 100% this. He's playing multiple times every day and I am going to see him at least twice. I have seen him at two past Glastos and he's been one of my favourite things at both. The bread fight. Oh my, the bread fight.
  12. I don't have the answer. But I worked on the backstage gate to the acoustic tent in like 2011 or something and I did have to check the wristbands of everyone who came through, including Mr Eavis once! It was quite laid back – jeeps would roll through and everyone would vaguely show their wrist. If you wanted to sneak in hidden in a car you could do so very easily. (Obviously you'd need entrance to the site first.)
  13. Thanks everybody for your responses. I didn't get notifications, but I just did now. And I appreciate it a lot!
  14. Even the name's boring. Not to mention, completely incorrect. Nothing against the line-ups in there. But, considering the thought/creativity the rest of the festival has, it feels like a bit of a blank page.
  15. To be clear, this is just regarding LEAVING the festival. Sorry it wasn't clear in the title!
  16. Hi there! I have gotten seeticket coaches every year i've been and on the way back have just gone and got any old coach at the time that worked best for me. Is it the same with National Express coaches? The only ones left leave at 4pm on Monday and I'd much prefer to leave at like 5am. Anyone got any experience with this? Thanks!!
  17. Couple late night shots. I am always amazed by the scale of the place.
  18. Yes I'm thinking same – at least! Godspeed!
  19. Any predictions on what the bus services will be like in London tomorrow? I'm having to get to Victoria coach station from north London (to get a coach to Norwich because that's the only place I could get a ticket from). So worried the buses will be packed and I won't be able to even get on one.
  20. Oh yeah, like that's ever gonna happen!
  21. Big Jeff is such a kind and friendly man. Has done more for the Bristol music scene than many. I distinctly remember him joining in a tipsy debate between my flatmate and I back at university ahead of Glasto about who was better: The Boss or Neil Young. He agreed with me (Neil Young). Hope the recovery is quick.

    Skunk Anansie

Always wanted to see Skunk Anansie. I'll definitely be there. Do you 'spose Pavarotti could turn up again for a guest slot?
  23. Appreciate the response! If you see a lost canadian girl wandering in the wrong direction, give her a nudge for me!
