My FB memories for today showed that U2/Coldplay/Beyoncé line up/poster dropped for 2011.

That early?? Thought it was normally April (apart from the last few years when it’s been late March)

Just looked at the thingy..... all hail the thingy! The last 2 have been announced 29th and 30th March with the 2 before that being the 14th and 4th April.  Another 4/5 weeks to go then.

Well I’m concluding from my status as I’ve mentioned Elbow confirmed and then also mentioned U2/Coldplay and Beyoncé attending on the replies. Maybe it was just the headliners confirmed ?‍♂️

They'd all been announced in February. The poster came out on 14rh April.

Nice one - so Elbow must of be one of the 13 I guess. Can’t recall the chems being announced same day but probably were. God I loved that Sat night in 2011

They weren't.  I only have official announcements though so it may have been a self confirm.

I remember U2 were heavily rumoured after not doing 2010. Then they dropped a massive hint (pretty much confirmation) on their website way before tickets went on sale. Probably the only time I’ve ever been 100% sure a headliner playing. People connected to the band knew and it got out. Doesn’t seem like that’s happened since then

The Sun on Sunday says Janet Jackson has signed up to headline this year.

The S*n on S*nday bases itself upon rumours and she a) won’t be big enough to headline the pyramid and b) Neil has information to say it will be Stormzy, The Cure and The Killers. That paper does have a good record with Glastonbury and I reckon she will turn up, maybe sub. But not headline.

Could she not be playing the Pyramid?

I said sub, that’s the pyramid. I didn’t say she couldn’t. I reckon it’s pyramid or nothing tbh

Aye I know. She could headline but not the Pyramid, she's 3rd at best and I don't want to think she could sub. Like who is going to turn at to watch her sub?, it's a definite that you could put Ariana or Miley in that place and people will care more but the same could be said for Nick Cave.

Only other place she’d fit would be WH, and I doubt either they have the budget or she’d accept playing there.

Her brothers did recently though so Perhaps?

Sorry beaten to it!

If they were to get Janet, it would be a massive deal. She’s played in the UK three times in the past 20 years, and obviously never done a UK festival. By the time The Jacksons were playing, they were playing anywhere and everywhere. She would have to go on Pyramid, for publicity reasons for one.

    • Muse will be about but the issue with Muse is that they’ll have the pick of doing IOW, BST, Glasto, R&L or big parks/stadiums.

    • Not sure what this means for 2027 but it looks like Holt Farm's website and email are both now inactive and unavailable.   It'll be a shame if they don't operate for 2027 as it was an excellent alternative to the other off-site offerings.   Fingers crossed they're just enjoying their downtime 🤞
    • Deftones, Blink, Muse?   Deftones as the next bump up makes all the sense, Blink as the "band that has never played before" and round out with Muse as its been a long time since they headlined and they have a new album coming which seems on the heavier side from the singles so far.   I could see Muse do their own tour to be fair, maybe MCR in their place? Could also see Deftones switched out for Slipknot/SOAD depending on who is about.
    • I have no issue with the Primavera crowd in most respects. They’re always friendly, respectful and no hint that there could be trouble at any point.   However…the talking is horrific here. The xx was pretty much ruined for me due to people having conversations with their mates the whole way through. Noticed it from all different nationalities across the weekend…English, Irish, Spanish etc. There seems to be no understanding of the nuances of when it’s okay to talk and when it isn’t. And obviously the sound being quiet at a lot of spots on the main stages exacerbates the issue. That alone has made me reconsider whether I will be coming back, it would probably take a lineup as good as this year (unlikely)
