Nothing the strokes have released is close to a Masterpiece to be quite honest.

I think people must have forgotten all the crap nu-metal and post grunge crap we had to endure before The Strokes saved rock with Is This It.

It instantly changed mainstream music in both the US and the UK, and went on to influence many great bands. It's possible to discuss if it's a masterpiece or not, but its position in music history can't be denied.

Absolutely. Even if they aren't the best at what they do, they influenced a lot of bands in to doing it better.
