2019 Headliners

I'd be surprised if we don't get anything before Christmas. I think we will get one headliner announcement to drum up some extra excitement. I doubt it'll be The Cure as they have tickets to sell, so it'll either be Macca or whoever the 3rd headliner is.

Wouldn't a sold out Glastonbury slot help sales for the Cure?

There's only ever been 4 headliners and 1 legends slot act announced before February.

They've no need to announce anything really.  Not line up-wise anyway.  There may be some word of a new initiative or something along those lines, but as the thing has sold out no problem I think they'll wait until next year and keep 2018 fallow.

If you have Glasto tickets and you’re thinking of buying a Cure ticket, you maybe less inclined if they’re announced for Glastonbury.

Well, Cure fans with Glasto tickets might not bother buying them for the Glasgow show if they're announced for G. They might want to hold off on the G announcement for as long as possible.

But Glasto is a festival that tends to attract an older crowd anyway. Not saying the yoof don't go, but it's more skewed towards older people than Reading.

Tina and Chris played in 2013 and loved it, so they'll recommend it to Byrne if there's a chance, but Davey's not for reformin', having far too much fun on his own isn't he!
