Hmm. Didn't realise they only had 2 hours. I was going to put them off as I expected a 2.5+ hour sludgefest.

If they just bang out the hits one after the other though, this could be a lot of fun.

I've got something to think about now.

It sounds like it's made my the band they would have been if they carried on in the direction of There Is Nothing Left To Lose, does anyone get me on that? Maybe something in the production.

I luv riffs.

Quoting a friend...

Dynamicly, it's everywhere - quiet, loud, heavy, soft - that's the Nirvana method. I thought we had another "Pretender" style Foo's song with the way it opened and I rolled my eyes, then it switched gears and headed into "white limo" territory and I was like "FINALLY!!!" Hope there's alot more like this on the album, heavier Foo's is the best Foo's.

Only just given that new one a listen. Never thought I'd say it but I actually really want them to play it at Glastonbury. Sounds like it'd be great opener. Still a standard Foos song really but agree that it's the best thing theyve done for a while - much better than anything from Sonic Highways.

Whereas at first I was mostly just going to see them for a nostalgia trip/because there wasn't much to pull me away, the closer it's getting and with the release of that surprisingly good/not shit song I'm actually pretty stoked for this now so thought I'd give a realistic setlist a go. Some wishful thinking but mostly realistic considering they'll almost definitely be doing a straight up greatest hits set there isn't that much wiggle room:

1. Run
2. Learn to Fly
3. White Limo
4. Times Like These
5. Big Me
6. The Pretender
7. My Hero
8. Arlandria
9. Something From Nothing
10. This is a Call
11. Breakout
12. Rope
13. Walk
14. For All the Cows
15. Stacked Actors
16. Best of You

17. All My Life
18. Aurora
19. Monkey Wrench
20. Everlong

You can pretty much guarantee they'll play Cold Day in the Sun and something shit from Sonic Highways instead of Aurora and Stacked Actors but ah well.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
