  1. John Peel Tent & The Park Hot Chip 525 (+10) Jazz World / West Holts Chic ft. NiIe Rodgers 310 Justice 945
  2. Most years since 93 (I think I may have missed a couple when the kids were very young) some on Sunday tix tho (again due to kids) do they count?
  3. Errm, perhaps more urinals would do the trick. It's all very well saying that people should be patient and queue but a full bladder and lots of booze can tempt the best of us. Some half drainpipe and a bit of screening the length of the main stages would sort the problem easily #screwfix.
  4. I took my daughters 8 & 10 expecting to tolerate some pop music. I spent the evening alternating between both girls on my shoulders so they could see. We soon just back from the mixing desk (back then there was a big screen at the back of the desk) so the 'grounded' girl could still see the show. Being Sunday I was already knackered by then but was blown away by a fantastic performance from Beyonce. It changed my view of popular music and made great memories with my girls. We still talk about it today and they're a fair bit older!
  5. Rained a far bit in 2019. The site coped well, I don't think / I hope any rain will no worse this year.
  6. Its not that popular being mostly on a hill and a trek from the car park (relatively speaking). The top is flat so that gets busy. If you don't mind sleeping on a slope there will be space. You won't see Glastonbury style crowded campsites at BD, which is nice! Have fun, it's a great festival.
  7. I've found my inspiration. By about 830pm on Sunday I should have nailed it 😁
  8. I can't see that working,,,, I'll get my coat..
  9. Good news: Daughter just landed a last minute job at Beautiful Days in crew catering. Bad news: I'll need to be on my guard to not get caught being naughty at Beautiful Days 😂
  10. Yes, same here. Sweeteners leave a horrible after taste for me although a lot of people don't seem to experience this. The only sweetener I have ever 'got on with' is stevia. Coke used to do a sugar free version using stevia in a green can which I actually quite liked, sadly they withdrew it from the UK market for some reason.
  11. Totally agree with this. Unfortunately many cider makers use sweeteners as adding sugar tends to restart fermentation which can push the alcohol content up into the next vat bracket. It's one of the reasons I stick to dry cider.
  12. Someone beat you to it I'm afraid. Looks a bit amateurish tho, I'm sure you could improve on this 😁
  13. Local article about the Goose Hall licence application complete with quotes from our favourite protagonists. Best bit is the 2,800 people queuing for the bar 🤣 https://glastonbury.nub.news/n/glastonbury-festival-organisers-could-serve-alcohol-to-up-to-3000-people-at-worthy-pastures-camping-event
  14. Hmm, nice as it all looks I don't see the attraction to camping on my own doorstep?
  15. Hope today goes well for you Neil.
  16. Next one on the 19th it seems. Application for licence to sell alcohol from Goose Hall. Maybe that will also attract the main protagonists. I'll probably have to miss that one, I'll be checking the minutes tho https://www.mendip.gov.uk/article/10193/Licensing-Sub-Committee-Monday-19-July-2021
  17. I've never watched one, but having read that I may have to give the next on a go. Great insight into the complexities of putting on the festival.
  18. Its quire funny really. Maybe this helps https://www.mendip.gov.uk/media/27809/Decision-Notice-revised/pdf/Decision_Notice3-f.pdf?m=637577947561170000
  19. I'm guessing you are robust enough to handle it. It'd be interesting to see how much difference there actually is between us all in 'real life'
  20. I think my 2nd para addresses that, perhaps not very well. Maybe time for some peace, love and tolerance around here. Anyone up for some Glastonbury spirit (please).
  21. That is going to hurt Saka. Feel for him. It's done now tho, something to watch in the future. England are on a journey, next year will be interesting.
  22. Attempted character assassination plus drilling into imagined problems at home. Seems a bit OTT as a response. The football bit is somewhat subjective. It'd be cool if we could try to get on here a bit more. I'm sure we have far more common ground than we tend to think (me included).
