The bad one isn't the proper Shepton Mallet either... I just checked and it's nowhere near that bad....

http://www.metcheck.com/UK/14days.asp?zipcode=Shepton Mallet&locationID=56888&lat=51.2&lon=-2.5&findtype=

Edit: yes it is, I was looking at the wrong week, weekend looks good though!

There is a serious amount of rain on latest forecast, if that comes off the Friday would be horrific.

Glastonbury shows on metcheck as baking hot with no rain whereas Shepton mallet is saying baking hot and pissing down! I know they are a few miles apart...but seriously!

Yes but still suggests a huge volume of rain in area Friday; but hey still a few days to go until we really need to start preparing for the apocalypse. I've got everything crossed.

Metcheck is showing 2010esque temperatures with only a tiny amount of rain now.

This is unbelievable. A swing back to desert conditions! If it's still looking like this come Sunday night, better buy extra sun cream!

Am I right I. Thinking the bbc is the only one with a positive forecast? The rest are woeful?

Metcheck would be better described as utterly bonkers. That rainforest combination of heavy rain and high heat is unlike any year on the farm in the past (or future if we're being honest)

I tell  you what, give me 27C, torrential rain and Craig Charles and I'll have a fucking ball!

His Hell Stage all day funk and soul club legally requires sun and rain to create the optimum atmosphere, I can't fucking wait for it, see you down the front with bells on (and ponchos)

0z gfs  looking this morning, it puts HP in charge until the Saturday slight improvement on Sunday. So largely dry Wed, Thu, Fri, some rain on Sat but back to better conditions on the Sun. But! given that we have so much disagreement in the forcast models I'd caution that confidence in this scenario is low.

    • Top 5 acts of the weekend for me: 1. The Cure 2. my bloody valentine  3. caroline 4. Father John Misty 5. Big Thief   Biggest disappointments: - Slowdive (the mixing/sound just wasn’t right, and that was about 20 rows from the front of the stage) - The xx (also too quiet and marred by talkers who had no interest in the music)    Positives from an organisational sense: - extra water point at Mordor this year - handing out ponchos before the rain and ear plugs before mbv    However…two of the water points had ran out on Saturday evening, which is completely unacceptable when you stop people from bringing in large bottles of water, and charge €4.50 at the bars for a 330ml can
