Seen the state of Market Street? Ankle deep water there. I just missed it and got out on the train but probably the worst rain I've ever seen.

Was in Trafford park at work and both roads near Kellogg's were flooded with the traffic at a standstill

I've gone right off Gav.

The fact he's giving us average to shit weather reports isn't helping matters :P

That low pressure can do one. Still some time left for us to claw it back.

Cool and showery - brilliant - so basically cold and wet - like f*cking November. Total and utter dogsh*te. Useless country.

I like Doctor Who, Brian Cox's 'Wonders' series and Richard Attenborough's documentaries - all produced by the BBC.

To the best of my knowledge Gav has only produced weather-based YouTube videos. Based on output quality alone I'm sticking with the Beeb.

It doesn't really matter. You should pack for both possibilities.  Anyone even approaching that farm without decent footwear that can cope with mud is heading for a spreading

Doctor martens and wellies packed. That was always a given .... It's clothing now !!! Trying to keep to a minimum !

"Probably mainly dry but don't take that too literally" - for one of the days . Fuck me, there's hedging your bets and then covering every single possibility. He came out with something similar last night and i turned the fucker off.

I'm sure he means well but that was fucking hocus-pocus.

That's the one i saw earlier and seems as least as likely as that one from Gav.

Well that seems to have disappeared but high pressure building from this weekend according to channel 4 weather .  We just need the beauty to last .

I'm gonna stop worrying. Every year I agonise over this thread and every year the weather turns out to be 'surprisingly okay, really'. I don't need the constant pain.

Thinking about it - we are only looking at a worse case scenario of showers and maybe a bit chilly. Still zero signs of a washout, right?

Looking at a high chance of rain everyday and low temps as well = mud and little chance of it drying up = no sitting down for 5 days = an absolute bitch.

    • Cool, if potentially completely exhausting, idea.
    • We don't have any choice but I don't need a t-shirt for it! 🙂    On the bright side, it gets it out of the way for a nice 5 year run... notwithstanding wars, new contagious diseases and apocalypse.
